whwhshshheheh i hate my writing so much but i really need to continue writing something that i started
also gundham is a comfort character now uhhhhhhhh i adore him best boyEven when Gundham and I entered the beach, my heart was still light and fluttery and my face still felt a bit warm. Gundham turned and smiled at me, likely amused by how flustered he could make me by just a platonic kiss on the hand. I pouted involuntarily and he looked a little surprised, though didn't he mention it.
I looked around. We weren't the first ones back. Kazuichi and Sonia were here too. Though I doubt Kazuichi really let Sonia do much exploring. He was probably staring at her the whole time. Or something weird like that. Y'know what, that's probably exactly what happened.
I waved at them but they didn't take much notice.
I glanced up at Gundham who appeared to have been gazing at me. Oh gosh, I'm sure I just caught his eye at the wrong moment. I smiled a bit, feeling all flustered again.
I didn't really want to leave Gundham on his own, but a part of me wanted to say hello to Kazuichi.
"You can leave to converse with the other mortals on your level, you know. I wouldn't mind in the slightest." Gundham murmured to me.
I swear I heard the slightest bit of doubt in his tone, and I was surprised by what he had just said. Was he saying that to just... rid his presence of me? I must've looked at little sad.
"Of course, mortal, you can stay and wait for the others with the Overlord of Ice instead, if you'd like. I wouldn't mind that in the slightest, either."
Okay, that made me a lot happier. I wanted to hug him all of a sudden, but I didn't know his personal space boundaries. I smiled at him, which from what I think, is a hug from the eyes and mouth!
Although we waited in near silence, I still didn't regret not leaving his side. Standing near him made me feel strangely safe and happy. It didn't last long, as everyone else started flooding in.
"Thank you all for exploring with each other!" The voice of Miss Usami rang out across the beach.
"I'm sure you all found something interesting on the island and have found a friend in the one you explored with, yes?"
Several yesses were murmured. I stayed silent, but I felt a stare boring into my skull, causing my face to heat up. Oh my god, it's so easy to make me blush. Whyy...
"That's awesome to hear! Now, I do believe everybody should check their cabin out! You can set up your cabin however you'd like, but you will be held responsible if you lose any valuable belongings. Come and get your bags, and at your own pace you may head to the hotel district!"
The small woman finished with a meek bow to everybody, then stepped away. By some miracle, our suitcases were waiting for us behind her. I could've sworn they weren't there before, though?
I looked up at Gundham, who was already looking at me. That flustered me even more so I walked away before I turned red. At least I hoped I did. I didn't want to seem rude though, so I turned around to smile at Gundham, trying to wordlessly tell him to follow me. He must've understood because he started walking toward the bags as well. I picked out my suitcase and he picked out his.
He began walking to the hotel district without another word to me.
"W-wait..!" I called. I sounded so desperate!!
Gundham turned to look at me.
"Do not worry, mortal, this will not be the last time we cross paths, I'm sure."
With that he turned back around and made his hasty way back to the cabins.
But what did he mean by that? Had he already planned for us to meet again?
With thoughts swirling around my head, I trudged to the hotel district. It felt like a long walk without Gundham by my side, although it was just as silent.
I went into my cabin and there was a key left on a table. There was a comfy looking bed and some drawers. I opened my bag. I had brought with me plenty of clothes, a small dog plush toy I had since I was a baby. That thing comforts me a lot when I'm away from home. I also brought one of my baby blankets. I placed them beside my pillow and started to pack all of my clothes into drawers. I've never been the most organised person, but I tried to make it so I could tell my shirts to my pants.
My arms felt strained when I finished. I really should exercise more if sorting out clothes tired me out. I laid down on my bed, only to realise my thoughts were clouded by.... Gundham. Gundham.
Wow. I know I'm weak, but I didn't think I was this weak. I've hardly known him before today. I mean, I always found him attractive but... I believed I was falling for him. Seriously, fell for the 'silent and tough' Type. I'm so stupid!
But he's so cute... and he carried little hamsters... I mean Devas (!) with him... He may be a little dramatic but he seems to have a good heart and... Ohh... what have I gotten myself into.
Well, I decided I couldn't sit around all day. I thought of going to see Gundham. Yes. That would make me happy. I got to my door and opened it up, only to have a surprise of my very own waiting at my doorstep.
"Y/N....!! Hello!" Gundham was already there.
"G..Gundham!!" I smiled at him. How unexpected.
We stood, facing each other in surprise for a little while. Then I decided it wouldn't be so bad to let Gundham in. We could spend a couple hours together, that would be fun!
"Gundham, why don't you..-" I reached for his arm to pull him in, but he snapped it away. I took my hand back hastily.
"...come in...?"
I moved out of the way. It seems like he didn't want to be touched. Despite that, he still walked in, smiling to himself, I think.
