Izuku stared blankly at his plate. Even though the expression spread across his face seemed like a clean slate, his mind differed greatly. His thoughts swarmed with ticks and flicks at his soul. His emerald eyes shimmered as he pondered for so long. Izuku's face became pale as flashbacks raced across his mind. Bothering him and wasting his time. "Izu, come on, eat honey" Inko with concern lacing along with her voice.
Her voice was so tender, so soft, and just enough to pull Izuku out of his mind. He stared up to her and mustered a small smile just before he took a small bite. Inko's tensed shoulders shuddered down with relief, she assumed that he was okay. He was okay, right?
Izuku clenched his jaw as he ate quickly. He listened to everyone else's conversations as he ate. His dad talking to his brother, Yo, and his mom talking to his sister, Akari. And him being the youngest. All alone. His eyes trembled as the flashbacks came back once again. He rested his cheek on his hand as he took his last few bites. And within a few minutes here he was in his room.
He laid in his bed as his green locks spread against his pillow. He turned and tossed in his bed as he tried to fall into sweet slumber again. Izuku sighed as he gave up and for now just laid on his back. His eyes frantically looked at every corner of the room to find something else to focus on. And there it was. A book. "The tale of Medusa"
Izuku's eyes felt heavy as he turned the page to chapter 5. He closed the book and set in on the dresser by his bed. Izuku finally sighed happily as his eyes started to close. He has been dying to sleep peacefully once again. His last glance was at his window. Through the blinds he saw the dark sapphire blue sky turning just a bit lighter than before.
"Shit" He whispered to himself. It was already 4:50 am. He had to wake at six. Why, you ask? Well its his first day of high school to be exact. And with that he drifted off to sleep with bags already forming around his eyes.
Beep
Beep
BEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
Izuku grunted as he got up. He wiped his eyes of any crusty particles, which there were many. He trudged to the bathroom to see brother swinging a backpack across his shoulder. Yo smiled at Izu as he hugged him goodbye. "You excited for your first day lil bro" Yo said as he ruffled Izu's hair. "You bet" Izuku said in a quiet but raspy morning voice. But Yo's charismatic expression faded within a matter of minutes.
He leaned down to face Izu as he put his grasp on his shoulder. And in a caring but stern voice Yo said, "if you need anything, call me. Okay? And if-you break down again, I will march my ass down here, do you understand?" Izu bit the inside of his cheek as he stared into Yo's colder toned eyes. He nodded as they hugged. And then Yo was out the door, ready to start his 2nd year of college.
Izu felt his eyes water at his brother's words. Did people really care about him that much? He sighed and whisked his tears away as he got ready and prepare for the rest of the day. And as early morning passed, he ended up kissing his mom goodbye and heading off into the hell they call high school. This will totally be swell.
"With the summer sun over us"
"I never thought that I could feel this, blind"
"Remembering how I would give a fuck"
"Stressing out because I wanted, time"
"Now I'm pouring out an hourglass"
"Waiting for the wind to carry me'
"I wish the sun would go and hide away"
"Cause I've just been dying for rain"
"And lately I don't feel the same"
"Though I've been trying to"
