Izuku stared down at his fiddling thumbs. His shoulders perked up as he heard the door of the principal's office open. His mom slowly walked in with a concerned face as she walked in with Mitsuki behind her. Izuku averted his gaze back down as he held his head low.
The room was silent until Mr. Toshinori cleared his throat to begin speaking to Inko.
Izuku zoned out into the noises and voices bouncing through the walls. His eyes never left his thumbs, but he could still feel her burning gaze, hissing at his actions.
Mitsuki sat in a corner before being called upfront by Mr. Toshinori. She walked with a straight face and her legs moved with haste and grace. She slowly glanced at Izuku, but he paid no mind to her fiery gaze. He held himself gently. Away from her
away from her presence.
The voices surrounded him in the room, Ms. Bakugou speaking of what occurred in the classroom, Inko asking various questions
and the beats of Izuku's heart.
"Well, what caused him to do that Mitsuki?!"
"Inko I honestly don't know, he looked a little disheveled when he walked in early so I tried to ask him what's wro-"
Izuku heard their bouncing words
but he never listened to them.
He finally lifted his head to stare at her. He put down his cards to show his injust hand and damaged deck. His eyes were no longer blank
they were glossed over
with one tear breaking from the dam of distress. No strain of a sob escaped his lips, they stayed bubbling throughout his whole body.
He has never felt this much pain in his life
and he has never felt so okay in his life
he was stuck in between the darkness and the light surrounding him within his sight.
He felt his face whoosh with a burning sensation as more tears fell
Inko stared at Mitsuki's face change she cut herself off.
She looked behind her
to see the alluring ocean
rushing into a detrimental but tranquil tsunami.
Her eyes gradually widened at her son breaking right in front of her.
Small tears tugged at the edge of her eyes pleading not to fall
"Mom"
Izuku whispered in a gentle raspy voice as he stared at the wall.
"Yea?" Inko's voice shuddered with the reverberation of silent sorrow.
