Chapter 5

I walked to the kitchen to get a glass of water, because with all the shit happening on the screen, my throat went dry.

I take a sip of cold water and I hear footsteps behind me, and I see Dahyun. Also getting a glass of water.

"Got uncomfortable too?" I asked her.

"Yeah.." she said as she took a sip of water. "and I also wanted to talk to you" she said.

"Uh huh" I said putting my glass down.

"So..I know you have a crush on Nayeon"

"How the hell does everyone know?!" I asked her as I sat down.

"Well your pretty obvious" she said as she sat next to me at the table.

"As if you aren't yourself," she started blushing. "Dahyun and Momo sitting in a tree, k-I-s-s-I-n-g" I whispered.

"Yah! Don't be a jerk!" She said as she smacked my arm. "I was going to help you," she said as I looked at her in disbelief.

"And how are you going to help me?" I said.

"Well, I don't know if it's true or I miss heard something, but I think Nayeonie's questioning.." she said whispering the last part so no one could over hear our conversation. My heart lit up when the words came out of Dahyun's mouth, but quickly the spark faded away and I frowned.

"Y/n, why are you frowning? Shouldn't you be happy? I mean Nayeon could be gay, bi, pan, anything" She said.

"Yeah...but just because the person you like could also be a homosexual still is a 50/100 chance that there gonna like you back." I said as I was telling the truth.

"Yeah but now that she's questioning, instead of a 23% to 100%, now it's at least a 50% to 100%, which maybe gives you a higher chance." She said.

"Dahyun...how are you always so happy?" I asked her.

"It's not that I'm always happy, it's that I'm mostly happy because I focus on the positive stuff, like for example. I have a big fat crush on Momo, and if I tell her and she rejects me, at least I told her how I felt and I don't have to keep carrying the feeling of being nervous she's gonna find out. And if she does like me back, well then we'll both be happy" is said as she smiled. She smiled but you could also see her eyes getting watery.

"Yah, Dahyunie, you don't have to act all tough and happy, it's ok to cry.." I said as I sat closer to her.

"I know, but I just have to smile to keep other's smile.." she said as she was now actually crying.

"No don't cry," I said as I patted her shoulder. "Here come" I told her as I hugged her and she hugged back. I lightly patted her back and let her cry on me. "It's ok, Dahyun-ah"
