The picture added is a demonstration of Sensory Link if you're confused.

Everything was a little depressing after that. There were only nine of us left. That's when Zae said, "Why don't we split up? That way, the murderer won't know who to go after, and maybe we can find out the murderer easier."

I, somehow, ended up with Melody (no complaints there). Desire went off by himself because of the odd number (no complaints if he dies). Judal and Gyokuen were together, and so were Zae and Xan and Ikuto and Jellal.

And so, we went our own separate paths to find the murderer.

You could say that I was very giddy while walking. Melody noticed my grinning, and even asked me what was wrong once. But I just kept grinning.

But that's when the lights went out.

But this time was different from the others. Instead, a green light came out from ahead of us. A cloaked figure that was hooded was walking toward us.

"Who are you?" I asked, knowing that it was going to be futile.

The figure tilted its head (or at least I think it did under its cloak), looking at me. "Now then, which one of you should I kill?" It said in a voice I didn't recognize.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Melody bite her lip. She then quickly her hand to about her waist, saying, "Sensory Link!"

That's when a pink glowing bracelet with a heart in the middle appeared around her wrist. However, unlike normal bracelets, it was imbedded into her skin like a tattoo.

Around the same time, I thought I saw a pink glow appear the cloaked figure. But I didn't have much time to think about it, because the figure smiled. "You used magic! I'll kill you first."

That's when the figure took out a long and thin gadget, pointing it at Melody. Her eyes went wide open, and she fell on her knees, screaming.

But for some odd reason, the cloaked figure fell onto one knee and additionally screamed. The figure twisted his gadget, and Melody stopped screaming, falling to the floor.

The figure turned toward me, but paused when they saw me, brimming with anger.

No. Anger isn't a good word. Rage is more like it.

I grinded my teeth together, knowing full well that I was going to mess up.

But that's when Daichi took over, putting me in the back of my head.

Under normal circumstances, I would've gotten mad at him, but I knew that my temper would've caused me to do something I'd regret later. Daichi can always control his emotions, no matter the situation.

Daichi ran fast and threw a punch to the figure's stomach. The figure stepped back, coughing, but Daichi quickly kicked the gadget out of their hand.

The figure fell to the floor, but before Daichi could do anything, the figure grabbed the gadget, getting up and running away.

And Daichi sighed, changing back into me.

I ran to Melody, scooping her up into my arms. "Melody!" I cried just as she opened her eyes and started to cough.

I smiled, but she asked, "Who was that just now? It wasn't you, even though he looked just like you."

I sighed. "I have another personality. His name is Daichi."

Melody smiled. "I knew it wasn't you. The murderer, I mean. But I also knew that Daichi wasn't you, since he didn't have the spark in his eyes like you do."

I didn't know what to say, but Melody coughed again.

"Promise me..." she said in a hoarse voice. "Promise me you'll catch the murderer if I die."

I squeeze her hand, not wanting her to die. "I will." After all, I'd do a lot for a pretty girl.

She coughed again. "If I do die...I want you to find Jellal and tell him two things. One, tell him to propose to Erza. Two, tell him that I used Sensory Link."

I guessed that Sensory Link was the spell she used. Hello? She said it earlier. Daichi, shut up and tell me who Erza is. No idea. I'll guess it's some girl Jellal has cold feet of confessing to.

"How are those things important?" I asked Melody.

She chuckled. "The first is just to mess with him, but the second could help find the murderer."

"How?" I demanded, but she closed her eyes and went still in my arms.

I was silent for a little while, then sighed and picked her up to carry up to the others.

You know that they'll think that you're the murderer since only Melody died, right?

... Great. Let's hope that this Sensory Link spell or whatever could prove to everyone that I'm not the murderer.
