For the Murder of Evil

We all decided to take the two newly dead back to the main room. When we got there and set them down, Zae motioned for us to come over to him.

"All right," he said when we did. "I know we have had our arguments." I swear that he looked at Desire when he said that. "But we need to work together. Now, if there's anything you'd like to share that could help us get to know you, speak now."

Xan coughed. "Alex."

Zae hit himself lightly. "Of course! I have a son who's about your age, Reiji, Desire. We, of course, didn't get along well, but now we get along nicely. He had a girlfriend, and a group that he works with."

Ikuto smiled. "That is nice. Well, I'm in love with an eleven year old."

Desire started to talk. "I-" That's when he realized what Ikuto said. "Wait, you're in love with a grade schooler?!" Hey Daichi, wouldn't that make him a pedophile?

Only if he touches her in an improper and/or an unallowed spot.

Ikuto smiled. "Yes. Her name is Amu, and she can light up a person's life anytime with her optimism and smile." He sighed. "Unfortunately, I have to compete for her against an arrogant king, but I'm sure that I can beat him. Besides, I'm going to ask her on a date when she's a senior."

"Touching." Desire said. "But arrogant kings are surprisingly tough; one of my minds is one. He's an earth mind, which means that he can control the earth, while I'm an air mind. But anyways, I'm one of the strongest magic users in my world since I have five minds. The only other person who is even close to me is a girl, and I love her air mind, even though no one trusts me with her."

Wow, their love lives are as complicated as mine. And mine.

"I guess I'll go next." Jellal said. "I was in prison once."

He didn't say anything else. That meant it was my turn. "I can use magic whenever I play on the piano or any other musical instrument. Oh, and I have another personality."

Desire smiled. "Like me."

"Yeah, but unlike me, he's quiet, smart and gay. Oh, and he says that who knows who the murderer is."

Zae's eyes widened. "Really? Who?"

Still not telling. Ask them if they could think of another motive.

I shook my head. "He won't tell. But he's wondering if you guys know of a different motive the killer could actually be working on besides "the murder of evil"."

Desire nodded. "Magic."

We all looked at him. "What?"

"I wasn't able to tell you guys earlier, but in one of the rooms, I found a huge vault of fine glowing stuff, which I believe is magic."

Jellal's eyes widened. "That makes so much sense! In my world, there is a known fact that if you lose all your magic, you die!"

For once wings was helpful. I practically solved this mystery. Thank him.

I did. But Desire looked distracted. He looked around and lifted his arm. "Get down!" He yelled as a bright white light came out of his hand.

And the lights went out.

When they came back on, Desire was on his back, eyes wide and wings spread wide.
