Four ☾ ☽ Dead To Me

Okay, I admit I could of seen that one coming. I mean, to be a vampire, I would kind of have to be dead. All the cliches vampire movies in the world could of told me that one. However, the fact remained the same and still completely horrifying- no matter if it came as a shock or not.

I was dead.

Or undead. Not even a day ago, something traumatic happened to me, and I wound up doused in my own blood with no beating heart. But someone- some vampire- had bitten me at the brink of death to bring me into this new life of vampirism. According to Headmaster V, this vampire, R, was powerful and had no fear of the Council, which outlawed the turning of humans into vampires.

It was frustrating. I had gone into Headmaster V's office in hope to have some of my questions answered, but I left with only more confusing, puzzling ones. With no trace of any memories, I was at a lost.

What exactly is The Council? Why are vampires being hunted? Who is this R? Where is this R?

The last question was the most vexing. If my "Creator" was powerful and fearless, why had they abandoned me? Why had they left me on that deserted road in the middle of nowhere with no guidance? Headmaster V had also informed that I should of remained with my memories of my previous life. What was different about me? Why was everything blank?

Only more questions, and no answers.

I buried my head into the pillow of my twin bed, hoping that all my problems would simply solve themselves.

After the somewhat fulfilling discussion with Headmaster V, he had personally escorted me into a different set of hallways in the west wing of the huge academy. All of the passages ways were flooded with darkness and filled with an eerie silence. We were in the boys' dormitories, and everyone was fast asleep. The hallways were lined with many doors, and we continued our way up until we reached door number 218, where I was residing.

The room I entered appeared as an average boarding dorm with the room perfectly symmetrical for two students. One each side there was a twin bed, desk, and dresser. The floor was covered in a thick, patterned carpet and the beds were draped with dark duvets and sheets. On the other half of the room, the covers were thrown off of the bed, the desk overflowing with papers and notebooks, and clothes were hanging out of the cabinets and strewn about the room.

There was no roommate in sight, and I was already dreading him.

I spoke too soon. As soon as the thought past through my brain, the door creaked open and a figure came stumbling in.

Don't tell me he's a drunk too.

I expected to see a bumbling slob drag himself through the door, reeking of vomit and alcohol, but I was stunned into silence as I saw the figure fully emerge from behind the door. I sat up on my bed, not sure if my eyes were betraying me or not.

The boy that entered my room must have just finished a photo shoot for some type of exclusive clothing line. He looked like he just walked out of a magazine. He was as the epitome of any girl's fantasy.

"Oh," he blurted as soon as his wild eyes found my own.

I continued to sit on the bed, my eyes never leaving his. I blinked rapidly, sure that this model would morph into a regular day person, but there was no such luck. He closed the door behind himself, the silence becoming so thick I could suffocate. He glanced around the disheveled room, scratching at the back of his head.
