Britain hummed a tune as he walked through the crowds in the large city. He weaved around unnoticed and he needed it to stay that way.

"This is gonna be so much fun!" USSR said excitedly, skipping along and occasionally going through some people.

"We're just going to get groceries you know."

"Why'd you want me to come then?"

"I'm starting to like company." Britain replied, smiling at the other.

USSR couldn't help but smile back. They were starting to get along! Really well actually...

"Once I went to get milk and I nearly died because there was a shooting." USSR said casually.

"What helped you survive?" Britain asked, recalling memories of seeing such things on the news.

"Communism." He answered simply.

Both of them started to crack up, but Britain tried his best to keep it in- didn't make much of a difference though.

"Are you alright young man?" An old woman asked kindly, giving them a puzzled expression through the creases her forehead made as she furrowed her eyebrows.

(She wasn't country just so you know, she was just apart of the countryhuman world to do specific jobs and all that:))

"Ah yes I am. Heh." Britain replied quickly, wanting to pass the woman as soon as possible.

"Well you looked like you were laughing at something." She asked, pushing her large glasses up her nose.

"I... just remembered something funny from earlier!" Britain said, trying to sound reassuring, but sounding more desperate in the process.

"Okay okay, I was just wondering why you were so happy. Good to be though." She said carefully, smiling at him. She left and turned a corner, where she disappeared.

Britain breathed a big sigh of relief before pondering what she had said.

"Happy?" USSR said to himself, "Well you're certainly improving then."

Britain rolled his eyes and relaxed a bit.

"Not my fault that you can be funny."

USSR felt himself blush again. He's been doing that an awful lot recently, and Britain seemed to be completely oblivious all this time. Maybe it's because his skin was already red and it couldn't really be seen, but you could still somehow see it if you look closer. But he tried not to make it seem obvious. It's just really difficult when the Brit makes it so hard not to.

"Well, that's a surprise." USSR said, almost in a whisper.

"What, nobody told you?"

"Maybe, maybe not."

They continued to walk through the parking lot, walking around a large group of people probably protesting to put specific things back in stock.

Britain suddenly paused and looked around, seeming to look pretty suspicious. He then faced Soviet.

"There's someone spying on us. Specifically me I guess." He said blankly, leaving USSR confuzzled. (Well, you said in one of my last books that it was a word, so I'll use it as one.)

"Wait what-"

But Britain was already going towards the back of a van, only stopping because he realised who it was.

"Canada I can see your hat. Come out." Britain said in a raised voice.

"Heh, sorry dad." Canada said apologetically, showing himself properly.
