Outsider.
She cried every night to sleep,
Her mind slowly drifting to deep slumber
With her head aching, red puffy eyes and a sour mood. She never got out of her room.
Her safe refuge.
If she did it was because she needed fresh air.
Maybe to sort out her thoughts,
But that didn't help, she never felt at ease.Every once in a while when she looked in the mirror
In her head, her appearance wasn't worth
She felt disappointed and disgusted
With every glance she took at herself.Whenever she was around people she silently wished to disappear,
She didn't feel like she belonged there,
In this society, in this place they called home. She felt foreign,
Like she came from another planet and was never meant to be here.
All she craved was to find the force that's pulling her but there was something holding her back.Maybe to try to fit in,
Or to just love herself unconditionally. She felt uninvited to this world. She knew she didn't belong.
So she did what her heart was telling her to, she fought and fought until self love started cripping in.
She let go of all society's standards and right then and there, she felt like home.
Herself was home. She may be named an outsider, for she doesn't fit in this fake world, but all that matters is that she belonged in a place no where near this.
A place where you can be yourself.
