I am not the stretch marks canvassed in my dark skin.

I am not the back fat that can be hidden behind baggy clothes.

I am not the bloated or medium belly fat that you say can't be worn with a crop top.

I am not the number shown in the scale that you compare.

I am not the teeth with a gap in between.

And hey! Don't ask when I am going to put braces.

Probably never.

Do not ask about how much I weight and please do not comment on when am I going to drop some pounds.

You are not my judgement. You are not my mirror. Opinions are invalid until my requests are given.

Do not compare me to my friends, I am not as perfect as you describe them to be.

I am far from that.

Yes, I have all of those described above and does that bother me? No.

At least not anymore.

I know what I truly am.

My physical appearance doesn't define who I am.

I am my smile every time I see something pleasing to me.

I am the tears running down my cheeks every time I see something emotional.

I am the running wild thoughts going through my mind every time an I idea pops up.

I am the genuine heart that confines in God.

I am the love running through everything I'm passionate about.

I am the books that I read and the series that I binge.

The movies I like and the poems that I make.

The blast of music in my phone and the dreams I fantasize over.

Therefore never tell me to change because if I ever were to change, it would be for myself.

Not for you. Not for anyone.

Do not drag me in your poisonous words because I don't fit the fictious standards you've made up.

What you perceive as beauty might as well be untrue.

We all have flaws in our bodies, and every each one of them is a masterpiece.

Unique. Beautiful. Perfect imperfections.
