Carter & the Party.

After all the sisters were done congratulating me, I ran back upstairs to finish getting ready for the party tonight. Suddenly, i'm in more of a party mood than before! I grab my makeup and give myself winged eyeliner and a more subtle smokey eye. I top it off with a pinkish nude lipstick and take a step back to look in the full length mirror. "I think this will have to do" I say aloud and go to my closet and pull out my favorite black wedges and throw them on. I take my letter and tape it to the mirror on my vanity, smile at it, and then walk back downstairs. "Hey, hey, hey! Here comes New York! She looks hot!" Ashley says and it makes me blush. She is my big and ever since big little reveal, we've rarely spent time apart (when you join a sorority you get a big sister). I run up to her and she grabs my hand and spins me around. "damn girl! you look hot!" "thanks" "I hear Carter is gonna be heeerreee" I blush slightly and look at her seriously "really? he said he didnt think he could come cause he has a big test tomorrow in his political science class" "well I heard Zoe talking about him coming" Carter is this guy in my business law class. He's EXTREMELY HOT and he is also super smart! He's a pre-law student and he is in our brother fraternity! All the greek organizations are invited tonight. When I asked him about a week ago in class if he was gonna show, he said he had a major test the day after the party and needed to study. "hello? earth to Maddie! earth to little!" I come back to reality and Ashley is waving her hand in front of my face. "you know if he does come tonight, you can't zone out like that when you talk to him" "sorry big, I was just thinking" "about Carterrrr?" i roll my eyes and walk away. Sure I like him alot, but i'm pretty sure that he just wants to be friends. And I think i can live with that, I mean he is a great friend and I don't want to lose his friendship. I throw my thoughts to the side and help set up and in no time, the party is under way. I'm dancing with my sisters and earlier in the night a few guys asked me to dance, so we did. I've been having a blast. A few sisters talk me into doing a couple shots to celebrate me getting an interview for Kate Spade. I hear a song end and the dj stops and I hear none other than Ashley come on the loud speakers. "hey everyone! thanks for coming to our party. I just want to give a quick shout out to my little! she is going to fly out to NEW YORK where she will have an interview with KATE SPADE & COMPANY!" everyone starts cheering and I blush and smile as I cover my face with my hands. I look back up, and everyone is looking at me smiling. Ashley keeps talking "anyways, I just wanted to make a toast, to the best little ever! me and our sisters wish you the best of luck on your interview! I know you will nail it! TO MADDIE!!!" everyone raises their solo cups full of who knows what and scream "TO MADDIE!!" they all drink and the party continues. many sisters run to me and so does Ashley "you're so embarrasing!" "aw come on! you deserve it!" she says then Avery says "hey don't look now but here comes your man. and does he look hot!" all of my sisters laugh, including me, and I look up and see Carter coming in my direction. He finally makes it to where we are standing and looks at me and my sisters "hey ladies! great party" Ashley speaks as soon as the word party escapes his mouth "thanks carter! good to see you made it out" he smiles at me then looks at all of us and says "yeah well I didn't think I would be able to make it out but Maddie here kept begging me so I decided to make an appearence. And I'm glad I did! Congrats on New York!" I look up at him and say "thanks! I just got the letter a few hours ago!" I quickly notice that one by one, my sisters had begun leaving me until it was just me, Carter, and Ashley standing there. Ashley also noticed and then said "well it was nice talking to you Carter but I need to go... uh... make sure there's enough ice. Excuse me" Carter tells her bye and she waits till she was behind him and then blows me a kiss and winks at me. I just roll my eyes and look down. All I could hear was the loud music and then he spoke "you know you look beautiful tonight Maddie" I look back up at him. he's like 6 foot 3 and i'm like 5 foot 3, even though i'm wearing heels, there's still a little height difference. "thanks Carter. So did you finish studying?" he ran his hand through his hair "yeah. i guess so. I could barely focus cause all the guys were running around the house trying to contain their excitement for the party" "i'm sure you will do great. You probably couldn't study at all and still make like a high B or something" he just laughs, probably cause he knows i'm right and then there is a little akward silence. "so can I get you a drink or something. I think there's a couple of kegs out in the back yard" "yeah sure" I lead the way through the croud of dancing people when we finally get through we walk through the french doors that open out to the back yard. I grab a cup and start to fill it up for him. As i'm filling it up I say "you should've seen some of the girls trying to carry these from the front door to here" he laughs extremely hard which makes me laugh as I hand him the cup. He contains himself and says while smiling "I can just picture it now. Zoe and you trying to figure out how to pick it up, and then once you do figure that out, stopping every like 4 seconds to "rest" and put it down" i playfully punch him and then say sarcastically "I wouldn't even risk messing up my fresh manicure by picking one of those up" we both laugh histarically and he drinks his beer then looks at me "you don't want a drink?" "nah. not now. beer is not really my thing" he smiles and continues to drink his beer. We sit outside where there are less people and continue talking for awhile. I've lost count of how many beers he has had but he is loosening up more and more. "well I think these all just hit me and i need to use the restroom" he looks at me as to ask for directions. "first hallway on your right, first door on the left" he gets up and before he walks back through the french doors, he stops and turns around "when I get back, we are gonna go dance" he goes back inside and I quickly run inside to where the drinks and some sisters are "quick! give me something! anything! Carter wants to dance and i'm so nervous. I need to loosen up!" Ashley quickly pours me two shots of Vodka and then Lilly gives me another. Before I know what it is, I throw it back and soon realize, it was tequila. "ugh! I hate tequila!" they laugh and Lilly says "you said anything" they then look at me and fix my hair a little. then they quickly just start to "act normal" and I turn around and see Carter making his way towards me. "hey Maddie! c'mon!" I walk to him and he grabs my hand and we get on the dancefloor. we start at a safe distance from each other and dance as though we are just friends but about 15 minutes of dancing, and 3 shots kicking in (plus the ones I had before), we move closer and start semi-grinding on each other. i turn back around to face him and he put a hand on my waist and I smile and put my hands in the air and continue to dance. I slowly lower my hands to his hair and then his face. He looks at me and leans in closer. Before I could process my drunk mind to understand what was going to happen, his lips are on mine. I kiss him back and all I can hear are the cheers of his frat brothers and cheers of my sorority sisters in the backgound.
