We stayed a little longer at McKinney Falls before getting back into town. I drove back to Josh's hotel with him in the passenger seat.

"that was so much fun Madeline!"

"I know! I really needed that to relax from this past week" Josh looked out the window and then back at me

"Avery was telling me about a party that was going on tonight"

"oh yeah, we can go if you want but we don't have to. I didn't think you would want to"

"We can go if you want to. It doesn't matter to me"

"Maybe we can just go for a little bit and then go to a movie or get some ice cream or something. I'm not really feeling up for a party tonight"

"sounds good. we can just go for a bit"

We pulled up to Josh's hotel and got out of the car. We walked in silence into his room. Something was off with him.

"Josh, you alright? Did you get worn out again?" I said trying to make him smile and sitting down on the couch

"No um, that's not it"

"Then what is it?" He looked around then sat down next to me. He sighed then finally started speaking

"Who hurt you?" My first reaction was to stand up suddenly and back away

"What are you talking about?"

"C'mon Maddie. I know that someone hurt you. And whoever did was out of their mind!"

"I'm fine. I don't know what you are talking about"

"Was it a friend? Family?" I didn't say anything

"an ex-boyfriend?" Ding ding ding! I'm sure my face gave it away

"Look Josh I don't want to talk about it! ok? can you just leave it alone?! I'll tell you when i'm ready" He sighed in defeat and plopped back down on the couch

"i never thought that I would find someone more stubborn than me" he stated smiling at me as I sat back down on the couch. He turned on the tv

"Hey Josh?"

"yeah?"

"do you mind if I shower here? all of the girls will probably be crammed into every bathroom we have getting ready for tonight" he smiled

"sure. I brought soap and everything. Use whatever you need to"

"thanks" I got up and went to the bathroom. I stripped out of my swimsuit and hopped into the shower. I grabbed his shampoo and started to wash my hair.

Why did Josh want to know all of this so suddenly? As soon as he finds out how broken I am, he will for sure leave. All of my emotions began to build up and for some reason all I could think of were all the negative things Ben had said to me. I looked down and saw my small stomach starting to protrude a little more than usual. I felt warm tears coming from my eyes and cried silently for a few minutes. When I was done with my little pity party, I rinsed my hair and grabbed the body wash. I opened the lid and as soon as I did, I could smell that all to familiar smell. It smelled exactly like Josh. I suddenly felt a warm feeling flow through my body and I felt safe and comfort. I rinsed my self off, turned off the water, and ringed out my hair before grabbing a towel and wrapping myself in it. I hopped out of the shower and suddenly realized I had left my clothes in the car. I opened the door and stood directly behind it.
