"Mom! Where did you put my handphone?" I screamed from my room. I'm not being rude. This house is too big so I could not tell where my mom is so I had to get her attention by screaming.

"It's on your sidetable, dear."said my mom from the library which is next to my room. What a waste of voice.

"Thanks, mom."I grab my handphone on the sidetable and walk to the library.

"Hey, mom. Could I go to the mall?"I asked.

"Yeah. Sure. Just come home before five."she said behind a stack of file. "Oh. Don't forget to take your brother or James. It is dangerous for a teenage girl to be out alone."

"Okay, mom."I said and give her a kiss on the cheek. Then off I went to Ethan's room.

"Ethan? Ethan? Where are you?"I search the room but there is no Ethan.

"I'm right here. What is it?"I heard someone muffled before a head poking out under a pile of clothes. Did he burried himself under it?

"Ethan, what are you doing under those clothes?" "I'm sleeping. What is it?"he said then grunt. Maybe not happy that someone disturbed his beauty sleep.

"I want to go to the mall. Do you want to go with me?"I asked.

"Nope. Goodbye. Close the door, please."he said annoyed then burried
his head back under those clothes. My sweet dear brother. Always know how to impress me with one of his 'charming' attitude.

"Whatever. Anyway, your room looks like a dumpster. I would get Mrs. Trainor to clean it up."I said before slamming the door. Serve him right. This time he will not get his sleep back. That's the punishment for not going out with me. Hmph.

Luckily I met Mrs. Trainor at the corridor. Or else I would have to go to the maid room on the first floor.

"Mrs. Trainor, could you clean up my brother's room?"I asked.

"That boy. I just clean up his room last evening. He really like mess, doesn't he?"she said the last question more like a statement.

"Well, he is a mess. Mrs. Trainor, do you know where James is?"

"He's at the garden. You know, fixing the fountain."she answered.

"Again? That's tiring to get it fix. Thanks, Mrs. Trainor. Bye."I said and went to the garden.

Mrs. Trainor has been our maid since the day my brother was born. She's really nice and a kindhearted woman. When Ethan and I were both young, we were very naughty and could be troublesome. She must've been through a lot trying to discipline us. Her patience is something that other people would hardly find. James is her son. He is our temporary eletrician and in the mean time studying to be a mechanical engineer. He is really hardworking for a guy his age. His father was our former driver. He died in the incident while my father is still missing. I felt sorry for James, though. He's already in the age of understanding the situation when his father died.

"Kathy! There is a bump infront of you! Watch your steps, could you?"yelled James concernly while fixing the fountain.

"Oops."I said noticing the bump. I really need to get my head straight sometimes or else I would end up in the fountain instead fall because of a bump."James? Could you come with me to the mall?"I asked as I approach him.

"I'm quite busy, obviously. Why don't you ask Ethan?"he said but still keep his eye on the fountain.

I pouted. "Ethan is busy sleeping. Mom is working and you are the only one left. Please?"I said while making a cute face hoping he would fall for it.
