Luke's POV.

1st day down, too many more to go.

I walked into the school, sporting my new light pink high top converse, along with a pair of dark jeans, and a white shirt with a pink cat face for the pocket. I ignored everyone around me, trying to maneuver my way around the sea of artificial people without anybody touching me, or even bumping into me.

As I approached my locker, I saw the group surrounding it, talking with Ashton. "Hi guys." I said, and stood beside Ashton, resting my elbow on his shoulder. "You look cute today." Ashton said, nodding in approval. "Ive got to look good for the men, Ashton." I said, and he laughed, along with Calum and Michael, as Alex stood there giving me a secretive death glare.

"Alex, Luke. I heard you guys are sitting beside each other in class. That should be fun, right?" Michael asked, and Calum nodded along. "Oh. A blast." I said, glancing at Alex, giving a fake smile, but internally rolling my eyes

"Yeah. Of course, best friend!" Alex said in a fake happy tone. I scowled in his direction, but turned to open my locker. I hooked up my backpack, and then shut it, turning back to everyone to hear them talking about soccer or whatever.

"Luke? Are you doing any sports?" Michael asked. I turned my facial expression to a disgusted one. "No." I said. "You know. I feel like he would make a great cheerleader." Alex said, and smirked. I rolled my eyes. "Damn right I would." I spat, and Ashton pinched my waist. "Chill." He mumbled.

"Okay. I'll see you in free period Michael." I said, and walked towards my homeroom.

--

"I guess you and Alex really don't get along, huh?" He asked as we walked to the outside courtyard. "I thought we would, but I guess not." I said quietly, shoving my hands in my pockets.

"Well. His parents know my parents. I guess we just sorta happened." He said, and glanced over at me. "Oh. So it kinda came easy to you guys then?" I asked. "Yeah. But we've been having little problems lately. I always seem to do something wrong. I didn't order the right coffee, or I forgot his gum, or something like that. Little arguments." He sighed.

"It's weird, but I think those are cute. I had a boyfriend back in freshman year, and We would just laugh about those stupid little arguments the day after it happened." I said, and quietly laughed. "Oh. When did you guys break up?" He asked.

"At the end of sophomore year. He moved." I said, and he nodded. "Was he your last boyfriend?" He asked. "Uh. Unfortunately no." I said. "Unfortunately?"

"It's nothing. My last boyfriend just, never mind." I said and shook my head. He stopped walking, and I turned back to look at him. "Wait. What happened?" He asked, walking back up to me.

"I'm really not comfortable talking about it. I'm sorry. Maybe another day." I said, and crossed my arms over my stomach. "Yeah. Of course. You've only known me for like 1 and a half days anyway, so.." "Yeah." I laughed.

I really didn't wanna tell Michael. Or anyone to be exact. My ex boyfriend, along with his friends, was the reason I moved here. I'm still not comfortable talking about the situation with my mum. She just thinks I was getting bullied which was only half of the problem. I've never told anyone about what happened, and I'd like to keep it that way.

"So. Luke. Uh do you anything in your free time?"

"Tumblr." I said.

"That's all?" He asked.

"Well. No. I can play guitar. I'll do that sometimes. Or watch chick flicks and cry about my love life, just the typical stuff." I said, and shrugged. He laughed. "I like chick flicks too. Believe it or not." I laughed quietly. "Good. Then maybe one day you can come over, and watch Titanic with me." I said, playfully hitting his arm.

"Maybe." He said.

"So. This is kinda a weird question. Don't get mad at me." I said, and he nodded, and laughed a little. "Okay."

"Is Alex as big of a slut as he seems?" I asked, and he laughed louder, pushing my shoulder slightly. "I think the question is, are you that big of a slut." He said, causing me to chuckle. "I can be." I said, and pushed him back. "But no. I don't really understand him sometimes. One minute we'll be making out, and then the next minute he wants to sit on opposite sides of the couch. But it all works out in the end." He said, as I nodded.

"Oh. So you guys never cuddle or anything?" I asked, pouting my lip. "Not really why?" He asked. "I dont know. You guys are just cute together, and I'd just pay to watch you two sit on the couch together." I said, and laughed, showing i was joking. "Aw, really?" He asked, and smiled. "Of course." I lied right through my teeth.
