An Element of Surprise

It was the Saraswathi pooja festival day! ( Honouring the Goddess of knowledge) we quickly finished the pooja and went to Ria's house!

Come here kids my mom called Ria and Rohan, to give them the "prasadha's".

Hard that your parents can't be here even for a festival! my mom said!

Why can't we do it here mom? I asked!

That's nice! good idea Rahul my mom smiled a minute after thinking.

I and Rohan decorated the house and I told the kitchen in-charge to prepare sweets!

And there she comes, Rubbing her wet hair with a towel in her pretty green saree! my mom braided her hair!

Oh! god is it my wedding or what? I said to myself.

She took me to her room. What jewel should I wear? She showed her jewel case!

I pointed out one! help me, she said and stood turned back adjusted her hair with her bare backside of her neck facing me!

I took a two-rowed necklace and wrapped it around her neck.

Yeah! it literally feels like my marriage now! She sat before the dressing table and I was standing behind her! Our reflection in the mirror looked like we are husband and wife! I was admiring our reflection on the mirror. Yeah! that's an overquoted imagination. I agree.

We had the pooja done! we had lunch together! and we clicked several pictures! it almost felt like we're family already!

(By the evening we were dead tired.)

Will you take me a ride on your bike? She asked blushingly.

She sat on my bike! and her fingers slowly slid over my shoulders!

I drove around her house! we stopped at the gate!

Shall we go back? I asked.

NO! she whispered in my ears! her warm breath felt like a breeze of the summer winds in my ears.

The watchman anna smiled and opened the gate!

We flew out! The road was empty, wished the road would never end!

Hey, stop! she said pressing my shoulders hard!

I hit a sudden brake!

What?

Paani poori! would you buy me some? I've never had that! she asked in an extremely cute voice! for which you can never say a no!

This is so nice! um! yummy! she said after eating a plate! Yeah, that was her first time eating in road side food stalls.

I took her to different places and clicked a lot of photos! we drove back!

My mom already took a cab it seems! And I dropped her in her home and walked her till her bedroom.

It was already 9 pm, her brother had already slept it seems!

And I said goodnight and prepared to leave!

Rahul!

Yeah! Tell me Ria?

Thanks! she said.

I smiled.

You made 18 years of my boring life beautiful in a day! Thank you! she added.

It's okay! just go sleep! I said and watched her leave!

That was all I remember!

She just ran back in a blink of my eye! and jumped on me! her lips met mine! No! not like those kisses in movies, it just touched my lips! she definitely doesn't know how to kiss! this was her first time! Yet I felt dizzy. What did she have, heroin in her lips?

I couldn't even think of what the hell happened!

I felt like, I should hold her tight and kiss her deep! It was my first kiss though.

But her lips are already moved away from mine!

I don't know what to say.

We both didn't!

Um...Uh...(stammers) thank you!

I said struggling to speak! I was breathing heavily!

She blushed! I slowly walked out thinking of whatever happened. I couldn't think of anything else!

It definitely is not a dream I said to myself.

The next day! I was even more eager to talk to her!

But to my surprise! She didn't talk much!

That's quietly relatable after the first kiss! She waited for her brother to leave the room!

You wanna talk about yesterday? I asked!

No! She said in a strict voice!

That felt really good! I continued to talk!

I am sorry Rahul! I don't know I felt like doing it! She said, but you are a kisser! She added! and laughed

Wtf? Did she just say kiss? It was a "puppy-lip meet". I said to myself.

You ever googled how to kiss? I mumbled in an extremely low voice.

What? She asked.

No! I mean! you should really watch some movies or something lol. I said and chuckled!

She smiled!

She kept her phone down and moved close to me! and slowly leaned over to my face! I could see her half-closed seductive eyes come closer! I'm feeling things in slow motion! and our lips met again this time a little deep! Her lips are locked between mine. I could feel her breathing under my nose! I felt like she's swallowing my soul through my mouth! Every nerve in my body felt a pulse of electricity.

Yeah! That is my first kiss! She definitely have googled! I decided to pause my thoughts and feel the kiss! We continued to kiss! like there was no tomorrow!

Ria! her brother's voice echoed from downstairs!

We stopped kissing and Ria left the room! her mother is on the phone! She'd possibly return only after 2 weeks it seems!

she never spoke about our kiss after that.

We continued to hang out together randomly!

But she never told those words" I love you" and I never thought to ask her! I don't know what this was! but I just didn't want to ruin it!.
