Damian always knew emotions were a weakness.

Titans Tower-kitchen

Author's P.O.V

the titans were all sitting on the dining table eating breakfast, except Damian, who was busy training as usual.

Everyone was discussing different subjects, Conner, Garfield, and Jaime were arguing about Waffles vs Pancakes, Kori and Dick were talking about new team activities, Donna and Raven were complaining about how annoying boys are.

When the boys finally stopped arguing, and the girls had enough of complaining, Jaime decided to change the subject.

"Well, did you guys realize that Conner has been here for a month now?" Everyone nodded and he continued. "And you see... Damian has been here for a year and a half now... and we know nothing about him except the fact that he is 'Batman's son'" everyone nodded.

"Is it because we never asked him?" Donna asked

"No... he just... doesn't like to talk about his past" Dick answered

"Well true, but he knows everything about each one of us, and we know nothing about him!" Gar complained

"Which is not fair" Conner continued.

"I know I know..." Dick sighed

Everyone went silent, Kori spoke next "Well.. did any of you ask him anything?"

They looked at each other, then shook their heads.

"I did... ask him... to talk about his past to you... so you can know him better... but" Dick said not wanting to remember what happened.

"But what? What happened?" Jaime asked as he was too curious.

Flashback.

Damian was training in the training area, as dick entered. Damian felt his presence

"What do you want? You see, I am busy" Damian said harshly

"Can you stop training for a few minutes? I need to talk to you" Richard told him

"...fine" Damian sighed.

They got out of the training room and went to the kitchen, where no one was.

"Now tell me what's so important that made you interrupt my training" Damian spoke first

"Well you see... you have been here for a half year now.. and the team knows nothing about you.." The former robin answered

"They don't need to know anything about me! Why would they need to anyways?" The current robin answered, anger clear in his voice.

"So they can trust you," Dick said, without even thinking...

"WELL, YOU ARE TELLING ME THEY DON'T TRUST ME?!" Damian yelled on top of his lungs.

"No no... I am just... ugh" Grayson sighed not knowing what to say.

"You see, if you tell them more about you.. they will understand you more easily?" Dick tried to explain, but his sentence was clearly a question, not a statement.

"Tell them what exactly?" Damian said raising an eyebrow.

Dick hesitated then spoke "about...your" dick stopped clearing his throat then continued "mother"... he finally said.

To say Damian was angry-shocked was an understatement, his fists were clenched his, eyes were wide and clearly, he was going to explode at his older brother.

"THEY DO NOT NEED TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT BIT** SHE IS GONE NOW AND I DON'T WANT TO HEAR HER NAME EVER AGAIN! AND YOU BETTER NOT OPEN THIS SUBJECT AGAIN GRAYSON." Damian said harshly

Richard was wide-eyed at his younger brother's outburst, and as he was processing things, Damian got out of the kitchen, slamming the door shut.

I totally have to apologize after this... dick thought.

End of flashback.

"Well he was so angry... he didn't talk to me and ignored me for a week," Richard answered his teammates.

"Was it that bad?" Donna said surprised. and dick just shrugged.

"I honestly don't know a lot about him either... Bruce knows a few things I and the others don't acknowledge. But I think Damian hates to talk about himself even with the closest people to him like his father" Grayson explained sadness clear in his voice.

Koriand'rs nodded "True, and us, as good friends and teammates, we will not open this subject with him until he is comfortable to tell us himself."

Everyone agreed.

"Yes... not all of us are friends of his anyways..." gar murmured to Jaime and Conner. But the others heard him. The young boys were now laughing.

"Boys! Be nice" Kori, as the good leader and mother hen she is, commanded.

"Well, when he will think of being nice to us we will too." Conner protested, which was a bad idea, as he got himself a bat glare from Dick and a Tamaranian glare from Kori.

He shut his mouth immediately.

When Jaime opened his mouth to say something, The kitchen door was open to reveal, Damian himself. Everyone went back to doing their own thing.

"Good morning" Kori greeted, but Damian was suspicious because her smile was kind of nervous.

"Morning" Damian said, still feeling something was wrong.

He went to the food shelter and took a teacup, as he poured himself some of Raven's green tea. He sat down far away from the others as he drank the liquid.

There was an awkward silence which was rare because the Titans were usually arguing or discussing weird things. But today, each of the titans, except Damian who was enjoying the silence but he was even more suspicious, was thinking about what Grayson said about Damian, and everything he said made it clear that Damian has a lot of insecurities, things that he doesn't want to tell nor them nor his family. At first, they were angry, angry that they know nothing about their robin, angry that he knows every single detail about them, but after thinking, a realization hit them...

Damian was afraid of telling us.

But why? This question was in everyone's mind.

The silence grew more and more uncomfortable by the second, no one dared to break it.

Except for Titus...

Titus entered the kitchen, making everyone run out of their thoughts, running to his loyal owner. He was trying to say something.

"What is it?" Damian asked his dog, Titus gestured him to get out of the kitchen. Damian obeyed getting out of his seat.

Damian followed Titus to the living room, where he saw, that on the tv screen the JL was calling them.

He opened the call as the other titans came into view.

"Titans we have bad news..."
