"Rise and shine, sunshine!" a pleasant, melodious voice suddenly called.
Jeongguk shifted slightly on the bed. This warm voice seemed to burst into his subconscious, gently caressing his senses like a lullaby, but he felt so tired that his body was unable to cope with such a trivial task as lifting his eyelids, so he only moved restlessly, pulling the covers tighter over his head.
"Ggukie!"
Brunet finally forced himself to lift one eyelid, but grimaced strongly as the morning light crept into his pupils. He groaned loudly and covered himself over his head with the duvet to cut off any excess stimulus. His temple throbbed, and he could feel the bitter taste of alcohol on his tongue. When someone started to pull the covers off him, he groaned involuntarily, clutching it tightly with his fingers, but the blanket slipped from his hands inexorably.
"Gguk, I have to go to the office right now. I have a meeting this morning," the same melodious voice said.
Only then did he realize who the sweet voice belonged to and quickly jumped to a sitting position. In one second, regretting his decision, the pain in his temple grew almost unbearable. He groaned involuntarily, wincing in pain.
"W-what time is it?" he asked.
His voice was hoarse, as if he'd had drunk a ton of alcohol the day before, and maybe it was true. He vaguely remembered taking more bottles of beer from his friend's refrigerator and pouring them eagerly down his throat.
"It's almost eight," Jimin replied. “You must have a hangover, so you have orange juice and painkillers on my nightstand.”
Jeongguk gently opened his eyelids and looked at his friend, who was wearing a navy blue suit that perfectly emphasized his figure. His hair, bleached blond, was combed back smoothly, creating a perfect whole.
"Thanks," he said, still struggling with the sleepiness and throbbing pain in his temple.
"And I think you should check the phone. For half an hour someone has been calling you now and then. I bet it's Lisa," Park continued.
He stood in front of the mirror and, looking at his reflection, began to tie his tie around his slender neck. Jeongguk found his phone and looked at the display. He's had ten missed calls from Lisa in the last twenty minutes. Plus probably a million text messages.
"Fuck..." he swore, rubbing his still sleepy eyes with his hand.
Unable to focus due to the throbbing pain in his temple, he placed the phone beside him on the bed and reached for a glass of juice and pressed two tablets into his palm. He barely had time to toss them in his mouth when the soothing silence was interrupted by the sound of Jimin's phone. Jeongguk swallowed the pills quickly and collapsed on the bed again with a loud groan, covering his head with the pillow. If he could, he would have stayed in bed all day.
