The brunet ran his hand through his dark, jet-black hair and once again moved his gaze over the documents in his hand. He blinked a few times, his eyes were burning. He's spent all today at his desk, running from meeting to meeting. He didn't even have time to eat anything decent.
He felt a pain in his back because he was sitting in the same position almost all the time. In addition, the tattoo made yesterday gave him a bit of a toll. His skin was sore and irritated, and he had to spend the whole day in that goddamn elegant shirt and perfectly fitted suit, with the tie tied tightly around his neck.
He blinked again, then grabbed the bridge of his nose, trying to focus on the contents of the document he'd been reading for several minutes. When he was finally done, he folded all the papers and looked at the man who sat across from him.
"That looks very promising, Mr. Lee. I think we'll work out the details tomorrow," he finally said, a soft smile on his lips as both he and the old man rose from their seats.
Jeongguk buttoned his suit jacket and took a few steps towards his visitor. He held out his hand and offered it to him, bowing in respect. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Hoseok rise from his seat as well and stand beside him.
"I will be very pleased to host you and your beautiful fiancée in Our company tomorrow. I am convinced that it will be a fruitful cooperation," the man replied, accepting his handshake.
At the word "fiancée" the brunet frowned his eyebrows slightly. He had just gotten engaged to Lisa. How could the man have known about it? It was not announced anywhere, and the Lee family was not so close to them, even though the man knew his father for many years and shared common interests.
"Fiancée?" he asked stupidly, before he could bite his tongue.
"Oh yeah, Jeongguk and Lisa will make sure to be on time!" Hoseok cried suddenly, reaching out his hand towards the visitor and a little too vigorously shaking it goodbye, as if he wanted the man out of here as soon as possible.
"And your father is still in Japan?" Mr. Lee asked, moving towards the exit from the study.
"Yes, he will be back at the weekend," he confirmed, following in his visitor's footsteps.
Following him, however, he turned for a few seconds to throw a questioning glance at his friend. Hoseok must have known something he hadn't told him, but just let Mr. Lee get out of here, and he'll find out everything.
"Greet him for me when he comes back," he ordered. "See you tomorrow and congratulations on your engagement. With that girl, it's like winning the lottery. Great choice my boy," saying that, the man left the office through the door that Jeongguk was holding for him.
The brunet bent his lips in a delicate bow, forcing a smile and bowed again. As he straightened up, he saw Lisa over his shoulder with a broad smile on her red lips. Seeing this, he clenched his jaw tighter. But he said nothing, just closed the door of his office again and turned to his friend, with whom he could finally talk privately.
