So let me tell you a little bit about my best friend Ashton Irwin. He had this adorable laugh and a smile so big that it made his eyes crinkle in the corners and well dont even get me started on his eyes. His eyes were a hazel green and looking into them was like looking at the world. We've been friends since, well since the moment I was born - you see, he was born 2 months earlier than me. Ashton's mum and dad had moved to California when she was 4 months pregnant and immediatly became friends with my parents after moving into the same street. Being best friends with Ashton was inevitable really.
I was into volleyball and Ashton was into drumming; he started learning to play when we were 12 and it had always been his life long dream to be in a band but this was something only him and i knew. I liked skiing and he liked surfing. His favourite food was pizza and mine was chinese food. We were different but no matter how different we were, nothing could ever get in the way of us and our friendship, not even the kiss we shared once.
We were in 9th grade when that happened. We had got drunk on alcohol that we had stole from his parents wine cabinet. We were laughing and giggling and before we knew it his lips were pressed up against mine. We both pulled away agreeing to never let it happen again but I'd be lying if I said I didn't kind of like it. As awkward is it was, I'd hope that he would say the same thing.
