"So, which ride are we going on first?" Chris asks after we get our unlimited ride passes at the fair.

"I want to go on the rollercoaster!" I say, pointing to the rollercoaster labeled Death by Speed.

"Uhh, I think I'll sit this one out..." Sarah says, looking up at the rollercoaster.

"Aw! It will be fun! It only looks big from here. Please come on with me?" Chris says, using the full extent of his puppy dog eyes.

Sarah looks terrified, but agrees to come on the ride.

Five minutes later, Corey and I are sitting behind Chris and Sarah, strapped in to the seats.

"Ready?" Corey whispers to me, grinning.

"As I'll ever be," I reply, smiling back.

The attendant working the ride tells us it's about to start, and I grip onto the handles.

The ride is over faster than I would have thought considering how big it looked from the ground.

We get off the ride, and I notice that Sarah looked like she's about to cry.

"Sarah? Are you okay?" I ask, going over to her and putting a hand on her shoulder.

"I will be," she sniffs. "I just think I'm done with rollercoasters for now."

"I'm sorry I made you go on it, baby. There's other stuff we can go on," Chris says, hugging her.

"It's okay. I think I'm going to go get a drink."

"Okay, baby, I'll come with you."

"I'll come, too," I say, not wanting to be left with Corey in public.

"No, you two go on another ride. I don't want you to miss out," Sarah says.

"I don't mind, really. I wanted to go on the rides with you, anyway," I tell her.

"Well...why don't you go on the Ferris Wheel? I'm not a big fan of them, and you said you wanted to go on all the rides..."

"Okay, okay. We'll meet at the bottom of the Ferris Wheel, okay?"

"Alright. Have fun."

Sarah and Chris head toward the food while Corey and I stand there awkwardly.

"We don't have to go on the Wheel if you don't want to. We can just sit here and wait for them to get back," I say.

"But I want to go on the Wheel with you," he says with a half-smile.

"Okay, let's go," I say, smiling back.

We get in a carriage and sit there a little awkwardly until we're a quarter of the way around, just in case someone saw us. Once we know we can't be seen, Corey grabs my hand.

"You know, this whole I-hate-you thing is really starting to bug me," he says.

"Yeah, I know. But we have to, and you know it," I say, leaning my head on his shoulder.

"Remind me why, again," he says, and I can almost hear his eyes rolling.

"Because we have to wait for Alex to leave town,"

"Right. So I don't get my head kicked in by your gangster ex-boyfriend.  I still don't know why you went out with that idiot in the first place. You deserve so much better," he says, kissing the top of my wavy blonde hair.

I smile and look up into his bright green eyes.

"I hate that we have to sneak around like this. You know I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to stop seeing me."

"I know. But I also know that I want to, because you're worth the wait."

I smile and he leans down and kisses me lightly.

"You know, my mom's in Boston for the next week," I tell him. "You can come over and we can hang out or something."

"I might just do that," he says with a smile.

We'd reached the top of the wheel by now, and I was feeling a little lightheaded.

"You alright, sweetie?" Corey asks me, looking worried.

"Yeah, I'm just not feeling too well," I say, closing my eyes.

"Want me to distract you?" he asks playfully, putting his hand on my thigh.

My eyes fly open.

"Corey, we're in the middle of a theme park!"

"Nobody can see us, though."

"In ten minutes they'll be able to!"

"A lot can happen in ten minutes," he whispers with a gleam in his eye.

Slowly he leans over and kisses my neck, moving up toward the edge of my jaw. I close my eyes again and pull his mouth to mine. He grabs me around the waist and pulls me closer to him while I wrap my arms around his neck. I feel hot all over, and I love it. No matter how close he pulls me, it's still not close enough. I let my tongue run over his top teeth and hear him moan softly, which made me want him even more. I pulled my mouth away from his so I could breathe, and he went back to kissing my neck.

I opened my eyes and gasped.

"Corey!" I whisper.

"Mmm?" he asks, kissing down to my shoulders.

"Corey, stop. People can almost see us!"

He sits up and looks around, seeing that I am right.

"Well, damn," he says, putting his arm on the seat behind my head.

I move a little away from him, in case someone sees us.

"You can still come over tonight if you want," I whisper, glancing up at him seductively from the corner of my eye.

He smiles one of his breathtaking half smiles.

"I think I might just do that."

After we get off the ride, we see Chris and Sarah standing against the railing waiting for us.

"Feel better?" I ask Sarah.

"Much," she says with a smile. "How was the ride?"

"The views were good. Wish I could say the same about the company."

"Kelly, play nice," Sarah says, gently slapping my arm.

"Don't worry about it, Sarah," Corey says, glaring at me. "Feeling's mutual."
