Bondi Rescue - One shots

Our relationship is a secret and it's was awkward when your boyfriend works for your dad. But then again, you would have never met if it wasn't for your current situation.

You and Harrison want to move in together, he asked you about a month ago, you would've gladly accepted his offer, except if you did, then Hoppo would know and everything would be ruined.

It was 4:30am when you woke up for your lifeguard shift, today you would be patrolling the famous – or infamous in some cases – Bondi beach. Your boyfriend, Harrison, would also be there and you couldn't wait to spend the day, even if your romance was kept under wraps.

"Hey Y/N, rough surf today, huh? Think you can handle it?" Hoppo teased walking into the tower,

"Of course Dad, but it's the cold that'll get me" you joked turning you attention back to the water. Just as you did so, Reidy, Glick, Harrison and Chappo walked into the tower. Your heart skipped a beat and your stomach fluttered when Harrison came and sat next to you, usually you'd give him a kiss but because of Hoppo, not today.

The crowds never really came to Bondi today because of the unusually dreary weather, only the surfers were excited by the huge sets.

"Hey Y/N, wanna come on patrol at the south end?" Harrison asked, getting up off his chair and heading to the door,
"Sure!" You followed Harrison's previous actions and were now standing at the door, "Hey Chappo, you okay to handle the tower?"
"Yeah, you go have fun lovebirds" Chappo responded laughing. Everyone apart from Hoppo knew about your relationship and had agreed to stay quiet, you were pleasantly surprised that they had kept it secret for this long.

Getting down to the water's edge, you decided to radio up to ask if Hoppo was there,
"South can am, to central"
"Go ahead"
"Is Hoppo up there?"
"No, want me to get him?" Came the reply
"No thanks, just checking" you ended the conversation and turned your attention to Harrison, who was surveying the water,
"Can I have a kiss please? Hoppo isn't at the tower so it doesn't matter" you asked
"Of course, but why won't you just tell him?"
"It'd... be awkward, to say the least"
Harrison didn't get the chance to reply before you pressed your lips to his, it was quick but passionate and left you both wanting more.

Suddenly, you spotted someone out the back near the rocks,
"Harrison look! There's someone out the back, I'm going to go in. I think they're injured. Will you radio?" You said frantically, while taking off your iconic blue shirt and grabbing a board.
The waves were tall and kept coming so it was almost impossible to make any progress.
When you finally made it out to the , the wind had changed and so the waves were moving you, the man and the board towards the rocks.
Eventually, you had pushed the board far enough up the rocks so that it wouldn't float away and you managed to help the man up the ramp.

You knew Harrison was watching from the buggy so you hoped that he had radioed for an ambulance or was on the way himself, to help the injured man.
Suddenly, a massive wave came crashing onto the rocks and aggressively pushed you over. The next thing you remember was intense pain from your right leg and a snagging feeling in your left when it all went dark.

Harrison's POV (I'm gettin a bit frisky with this POV changes)

I was watching Y/N's rescue when it all suddenly turned bad. The man manage to walk away with minor injuries but just as he did so, Y/N was pulled under, without a second thought, I put the buggy in drive and sped around the streets to reach the ramp.

Y/N's POV

My body ached, I could feel waves crashing above me. Suddenly, everything came back to me, the rescue and that my foot was stuck. I figuratively leap into action trying to free myself, when I felt two strong arms grip my leg and pull it free. The following sensation felt euphoric, as you were allowed to breathe again. You noticed it was Harrison who had saved you and that your dad was standing by, both evidently worried,
"Baby, are you ok?" Harrison asked, you saw hoppo's face contort in the background,
"I'm ok, just copped the cheese grater" you said finding your voice and sitting up in pain.

Harrison helped you up and brought you to the can am, sneaking a kiss on the way there, by this point you didn't care if Hoppo found out; you would have to tell him eventually, if you want to live your life.

— Time skip bc I'm lazy and have been writing this for two days —

You were sitting in your bed at home, when Hoppo walked into your room,

"Y/N, since you feel better, I would like to talk about what I saw earlier today. Basically I'd like know why Harrison kissed you" he said, sitting on your bed, near your feet,

"I have been meaning to tell you this for the longest time, dad, I really have... Harrison and I are dating. We have been for 5 months now" you took a deep breath, relieved to have gotten it off your chest,

"Y/N, Harrison is a great guy. I hope you're happy, I just wish you'd have told me sooner"

"I would say I will next time, but I don't think there is going to be one" you said laughing, Hoppo joined in and you both fell about in stitches,
"I have something to ask you though-" You began

"That you'd like to move in together? Yes you can" He said, kissing your head

"Thank you dad!"
