Mariannas POV
My alarm clock sounds off.
"Ughhhh" I said in frustration
I slid out of bed , I brushed my teeth , hopped in the shower , did my hair and slipped on my clothes.I wore something casual n simple , only a pink baby tee and some cuffed jeans and white vans.Call me plain Jane I don't care , I was ready for school , I'm a sophomore in high school, and also apart of the soft ball team.I have a big brother name Justice he is a senior in high school and I have a big sister name Domonique, she is a junior in high school.We are literally one year apart from each other and we get on each other nerves like all the time , but we love each other.I also have a best friend name Kobe.We have been best friends since middle school.I love that crazy dude.I headed downstairs.Justice grabs my arm and he swings me around.
"Move big head"!
He laughs.
"You were in my way" he said
I rolled my eyes.Dominique struts downstairs, flipping her hair and applying some lip gloss.She thinks she's so all that tbh.
"Omg I can't wait for Roxannes birthdays party,it's gonna be be so lit"
Roxanne is Domoniques crazy best friend.Shes okay.She can be extra sometimes tho.Mama was busy fixing breakfast.
"Y'all come on and eat" mama says
Justice fixes his plate first.
"Fat self"!
"I'm hungry as hell" ! He said
"Ugh don't grab all the bacon " ! Domonique said
I snatched a bagel and some butter.
"I fixed enough, so everybody get a big plate" mama said
"Don't mind if I do" Justice said
"Fat self" I said
"You greedy as hell too and you know it" he said to me

"I've been trying to watch my weight lately"

"Yeah, and plus I gotta look good for Roxannes Bday party , because it's this dress I saw at H&M , it's sooooo cute , I just have to get it"
"Nobody cares" Justice said in a girly voice trying to mimic Domonique
I giggled, Domonique makes a face.
"Y'all kids are a mess , and it better not be no drinking and drugs at that party Domo" mama said
"Mama , it aint finna be all that , we just gonna be dancing and takin pictures" Domonique said
"Mhmm alright child" mama said
"You know you finna be drinking and smoking" I said

Me and Domonique hopped in Justice car , he takes us to school everyday.
"Gosh I wish I had my own car" I said
"One day you will have your own car , but as for right now, I'm your transportation" Justice said
"Mhmmm, it's alotta things I wish would happen tbh"
"Yeah you can wish all you want about things , but you gotta work hard to make it happen" Justice said
"I wish I can get into Yale university"
"Well that takes good grades and a good gpa , and you gotta pass all your necessary tests" Domonique said
"Yeah I know , I just wish it was a easier way to get what you want"
"Don't we all wish that , but unfortunately it's not, life is what you make it and it's definitely not fair" Justice said
"Imagine having a personal genie by your side tho"
"that would be fun" Domonique said
"You got quite an imagination sis" Justice said laughing
"Yeah it's so many things I want in life, and I can't have it"
"Well theirs a difference between want and need" Justice said
"Mhm I know , but if I want it , I want it"
"Well we're not rich , so you can't just get what you want all the time, mama buy us what she can afford, and plus you know I work at Walmart , so I have to help out with bills n stuff, so I can't always buy everything I want" Justice said
"I know, I just wish life was easier" I said sighing
We arrived to school.I seen my best friend Kobe.
"Kobe" !!!
He runs towards me.

We hugged and slapped hands.

"Nun much really , wanna go back to sleep tbh"

Me and Kobe walks in the school.We seen our arch enemies Sasha and Jennifer popping gum by the locker.They looked our way and smirked.
"Oh look Misses Good will" Sasha said

"Your clothes sweetie, all my clothes are from the mall"
"it's nothing wrong with goodwill , you find cheap reasonable stuff"

Sasha and Jennifer laughs.
"those are used clothes honey, like ew" Sasha said

"I wash the clothes before I wear them"
"Yeah she washes her clothes" Kobe said

"Just face it Marianna you will never have cute clothes and be popular like me" she said grinning
I frowned and fold my arms.

"well sometime you have to get what you can afford , and it's not really a big idea, some name brand stuff are ugly"

Suddenly I see my crush walking down the hallway.His name is Bobby , he is the most popular boy out of all the sophomores , he is such a ladies man.All of the girls want him , we drool over him.He is also on the basketball team.I wish so bad I could be his girlfriend.He walks past me.I glared at him with passion , he was so fine, i seen him waving at me , I waved back.
"Bobby" ! I hear Sasha says
She runs towards him.I looked back and I realized he wasn't waving at me, he was waving at Sasha.Ugh.He walks past me and walks with Sasha and Jennifer,
"So your coming to my pool party Friday night ? I hear Sasha say
"You know it Sasha" I hear Bobby say
I glared at them as they walked down the hallway.I frowned and fold my arms.

"He is so fine , he's charming , his voice is sexy , he popular and he is on the basketball team..he literally has the whole package"
Kobe sucks his teeth "whatever, I mean he alright , but he is not all that , but okay go off"

Me and Kobe was in class doing our work.Sasha and Jennifer was busy playing on their phones and giggling.She lòoks back at me.
"Don't you still have a iPhone 5c" ? Sasha asked
"Yes"
"Oh wow , girl you are so sad it's not even pitiful, I have the iPhone 11 Pro"
"Yeah and I do too" Jennifer says
"It's was our birthday gifts from our rich parents"
"Well I like my little iPhone 5 c"
She rolls her eyes and looks away.I glanced at Kobe.
"I wish I can upgrade to a new phone , but mama can't afford to buy me a new phone right now"
"Hey don't worry about them , just get the things you want , in a later time when your mom has the money or just do some freelance jobs and earn the money like that"
"Oh yeah I never thought about freelance jobs , I can wash some dogs , deliver some news paper , I can even sign up to be a tutor"

"Imma go online after school and see where I can make some quick cash"

I seen Bobby glance at me , I got butterfly's in my stomach,

"Do you have a pencil I can borrow, mines just broke"

I quickly found him a pencil and handed it to him.

I nodded and smiled.I seen Sasha looking back at me frowning and rolling her eyes.Kobe looks at me.

Me and Roxanne was busy primping in the mirror.
"Omg I'm so excited for my birthday party Friday night" Roxanne says

It was after school , me and Domonique hopped in Justice car.Justice was already in the drivers seat waiting for us.
"So how was y'all day big heads" ? Justice asked
"Good" I said sighing
I was lowkey lying , cuz Sasha pissed me off today, I mean per usual tbh , but she really got under my skin today.
"Today was fun" Domonique said

"Yeah , how was your day" ? I asked

"Imma look for some freelance jobs when I get home"
