Depression...

In the morning Poppy woke up and realized that Branch was holding her. She looked at the clock and realized it was 6:05 am. She moved slightly afraid to wake Branch up. He opened his eyes and looked up at the ceiling. 

Branch: morning...

Poppy:...so-sorry to wake you....

Branch: No need to apologize....*gets up* I'll just go get ready...*walks away*

Poppy looked down and felt sad. She got her bag, opened it, and picked up the locket her mom had given her. She put it on wanting to cry, but she didn't. She knew that Branch was going to try to help. But she didn't want his help. Soon Branch came back with a dark gray shirt , one sleeve rolled up and one down. He was also wearing black pants.

Poppy: So do you have any spear clothes...?

Branch: Oh yeah here *hands clothes*

Poppy: Thanks... *walks away*

Poppy walked into the bathroom and took a quick shower. She put on the clothes Branch gave her. Which was a long gray T-shirt and black skinny jeans. She kept her hair in a messy bun and  put on a black bracelet. She walked out of the bathroom, grabbed her bag and walked downstairs. When she got downstairs she saw Branch, Leaf, and their grandma eating breakfast.

Grandma Rosie: Poppy, aren't you going to eat?

Poppy:....n-no I'm good....

Grandma Rosie: But Poppy, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, are you sure you don't want to eat?

Poppy: Y-yeah I'm fine....

Branch: *finishes breakfast, picks up bag and stands up* Well we should head to school

Leaf: Bye Branch, bye poppy

Branch: Bye Leaf

Poppy: *waves*

The two got into the car. Poppy looked down, she was in deep thought. 

Branch: Poppy...are you okay?

Poppy: mhm....

Branch: *thinks* She's lying again...isn't she..

When the two got to school Poppy's friends were waiting for her at the entrance.

Barb: Pop-

Poppy: *speed walks away*

Barb: py... what's with her?

Wani: Let's ask Branch...

DJ: Branch!

Branch:...yes?

Smidge: *grabs him by the shirt* WHAT DID YOU DO TO POPPY!!!

Branch: NOTHING JEEZ CAN YOU LET ME GO!!! I asked her and see said she as fine.....

Smidge: *lets go* wait she did...?

Branch: Yes.

Harper: Another question why was she in your car?

Branch: She stayed the night at my house because of the storm....

Barb: okay......

*Bell rings*

Branch: I have to head to class.... *rushes away*

Legsly: Is he actually going to class?!

Barb: Yeah....SHOT WE HAVE TO HEAD TO CLASS TOO!!

Everyone: OH YEAH!!!! *runs away to school*

A few hours later, it was finally lunch. Poppy sat at her normal table but she didn't eat anything.

Barb: Aren't you going to eat?

Poppy: I'm not hungry....

DJ: Are you sur-

Poppy: I said I'm not hungry....!

Harper: ...okay jeez

Poppy: *gets up*

Trollex: Where are you going?

Poppy: Somewhere .. *walks away*

At the Danger Squad table, Branch saw Poppy leave the lunch room. 

Branch: *gets up*

Biggie: Branch where are you going?

Branch: .....it's nothing I'll be back. *walks out*

Poppy: *puts on hoodie and grabs bag* 

Branch:....*thinks* what is she doing?

Poppy: *puts phone in bag and closes locker*

Branch: *grabs Poppy's hand* 

Poppy: *turns around* B-branch....

Branch: Poppy....what are you doing...

Poppy looked away and looked back at him. She looked down and didn't know what to say.

Poppy: I-I....

Branch: Poppy....answer me....

Poppy: *looks away*

Branch: ANSWER ME!

Poppy: *starts to cry*

Branch:...P-poppy I...

Poppy: *cries and hugs him*

Branch: *hugs back*

The two slowly fell to there knees but was still  in a warm embrace. Poppy slowly started to turn gray. . Branch looked at her and realized what had happened. 

Branch: P-poppy....?!
