(Amity's POV)
I figured I would try to diffuse the tension in the room, so I told Luz to ask any one of us a question about the Boiling Isles. Her question for my mother was; "So, Hecate. Why were the giraffes banished from the Boiling Isles exactly!?" My mom nearly broke out laughing. "Luz, Giraffes were so freakishly tall that witches would constantly crash into their necks whilst flying their magic staffs around the isles. Although it was funny to see inexperienced witches flying their magic staffs and crashing into a giraffe's neck, Emperor Belos felt they were a danger to all witches because of how freakishly tall they were. So the Emperor's coven led by the former coven leader; Kikimora decided to do something about it. She spoke to the emperor and got permission to have them banished to another world, one where they wouldn't hinder a mid-flight witch. The human world."
Luz couldn't stop laughing after learning the real reason why giraffes were banished from the Boiling Isles. I tried to hold in a chuckle, but it burst out into a gaffaw instead. "Amity! You've heard this story many times and still you insist on laughing at it." I lost control of myself and I began laughing so hard I nearly peed myself.
I simply couldn't stop laughing. After a few minutes; Luz had stopped laughing, and moved on to a new question. I, on the other hand; couldn't stop laughing. Camilia glared at me. I didn't know why at first but then her response made me stop laughing.
"It's not funny at all, in fact; I was one of the many witches who crashed into a giraffe's neck before they were banished. Watching it happen to others was a bit funny, but having it happen to you wasn't funny or fun at all. It nearly cost Hecate and I our lives." Luz stopped laughing and began to feel sorry for what happened.
"Mom, I'm so sorry for laughing. I didn't know that you were one of the witches that crashed into a freaking Giraffe! No wonder those things live in isolated areas across the African Continent. They're not just freaks, they're freaks who ruin everything good!" Luz said apologetically. I turned to find my stepdad; Alador Humphrey "Bogart" Blight leaving through the portal they must have gone through to get here from the Boiling Isles. My mom followed after him, but after a few minutes; she returned carrying all my belongings that I left behind when I moved out of their house and moved in with Luz and her Máma; Camilia.
A couple minutes passed by again and then she went back through the portal. The portal didn't close so I was going to close it, when all of a sudden; my mom's stuff came through the portal landing delicately on the lawn in the backyard, not even a few seconds later; mom also came through and then she closed the portal.
"Mom, you didn't have to leave him for me. I may not be his daughter, but I know that you love him. Why did you leave him?" Hecate shook her head and replied; "Mittens, Alador kicked me and the twins out, apparently he thinks that he's not their father." Suddenly; Emira's entire bedroom magically came through the portal and somehow attached itself to the house. "Dad threw Ed and I out as well. Oh and by the way Mittens; Willow, her dads, birthday along with Diaspro and her moms have all decided to move to the Human world now that magic has been brought to earth."
I saw a huge portal open and Willow's family home came through and landed on the empty plot of land across the street from the Noceda residence. Then; a smaller portal opened right next to Willow's home and out came a mobile home. Since magic had been brought to earth by Eda, nobody seemed to question the sudden appearance of a house and a mobile home on a empty plot of land, one human girl said; "Maybe it's Azura and Hecate coming to live in our world, instead of their own which is called; the Boiling Isles!"
I wanted so bad to tell her that the Boiling Isles were very much real and that I was Hecate's daughter, but I couldn't. As a teacher; I taught my students about the Salem Witch Trials and the Witch hunts, which upset me a little bit to know that during the late 1600s witches from the Boiling Isles who settled down in the human world had been forced into hiding or they returned to the Boiling Isles out of fear.
I didn't want something like that to befall Luz and our friends and family. So I decided not to tell the girl the truth, instead she looked at me and said; "You have the same color hair as Azura." I smiled and said; "No, Azura's hair is a darker shade of green than mine. And for the record; If any of the Good Witch Azura characters from the books came to live here it would be; Arnagrath."
The girl looked at me and asked me how I knew so much about the GWA books. I tried so hard to not reveal that I was the one who wrote the books. However; it kind of slipped out. "It's because I'm the author of the Azura books. And I'm currently working on Book 7, which is the final book in the series." The girl looked at me weird as if she didn't believe anything I said. "Yeah right! And I'm Justice Cain's daughter!" Amity took out a piece of paper from her handbag and showed it the girl.
"Azura stood side by side with Hecate watching as their beloved friend; Malingale left their domain in search for the other survivors of her own species. Azura and Hecate hugged each other. Now that they knew they were sisters, Azura and Hecate knew that they could never be split apart. Not even Arnagrath could separate them. They weren't just friends now, they were also sisters. The End"
The girl looked at me astonished before she handed the paper back to me. "Oh my goodness! How can this ever be Fanfiction,? It's way better then any Fanfiction I've read! You really are Amity Barnes!!" I smiled at her and said; "Please don't tell anyone that you got to read the ending of the next Azura book, but here. I'll take a picture with you and I'll even have your mom take one of me autographing your Azura picture."
I looked at the girl's mother and asked her to take a picture of her daughter and I together as I autographed the girl's picture of Azura. She hugged me and said; "Thank you. I was so happy to meet you; Amity!" The girl said as she and her mother headed home. I was about to head back inside when something caught my eye. "No way! The Eye of Sefrandis!" I picked up the object, made sure no one is looking and then I take it back inside the house with me.
