Chapter one: The summer before

I was 14 and I had just graduated 8th grade. My life was back together. I knew I was going to start high school with a new beginning. I decided that this summer I would spend it with my best friend Ruby and her boyfriend Ethan. It was a Saturday morning when our summer officially started. Ethan picked me up on his bike. We went to Ruby's house and hung out. We all started talking about sex and that's when Ruby confused she wasn't a virgin. "It was graduation night. Ethan I were excited and one thing lead to another and BAM! We had sex." I was shocked. Me and Ruby had plans to do it on the same night. But I of course didn't have a boyfriend. Ever since that night, when I was twelve, I made a promise to myself I wouldn't have a boyfriend until I was ready. I should probably tell Ruby and Ethan since they are my best friends. So that's what I'm going to do I'm going to tell them hopefully everything goes well. "That's awesome Ruby your a 'woman' now ha! Hey you guys can I tell you something that's like totally super personal." They nodded and both replied with "of course what is it" I started to shake. I was nervous. Then that's when I started to cry. When the tears stop I found my voice. "Well remember back when I was part of the 'cool kids'" I pause nervous to tell them. "Arianna GOD DAMN IT! TELL US" Ethan shouted. "W-well I-I umm smoked weed and drank alcohol before school everyday" I couldn't tell them. I was too scared. The both laughed and said "tell us something we don't know?" I laughed with them it made sense I was always a mess. After a few weeks of the same old routine we decided to go to Ethan's house for some pizza and video games. I was sitting on the big couch by myself of course. Always the third wheel. While Ruby and Ethan were cuddling on the little couch. We were all into a movie when the door bell rang "That must be the pizza man" Ethan said as he winked at Ruby. Then they both stared at me and said "Hey A. Go get the pizza" I looked at them and they said "it's already paid for we used the credit card". I had completely forgotten that Ethan had his own card. So I went mindlessly down the stairs to go get the pizza. The second I open the door I hear "oh my gosh your beautiful". I was shocked to see someone who was the pizza man. Instead it was him! Mathew. A freshman at the high school. I always thought he was the sexiest man on earth. I had completely forgotten he was best friends with Ethan. "I-I'm s-sorry I thought you were the pizza guy" I was so nervous I didn't know he thought I was beautiful. "Nah I'm here because this little beauty is by herself and needs my help to keep her company" I was shocked. This tingling feeling flowed through my body as he spoke. I felt like the luckiest girl alive. We went back upstairs Ruby and Ethan were in the same spot. But this time the had pizza in their hands. "You guys are assholes you guys had the pizza this whole time and hid it from me. I thought. Never mind" All of a sudden I felt someone pulling me and I realized it was Mathew. He wanted to cuddle with me. Omg!! My head screamed. I gave a thank god look to Ruby, who then winked back at me. Mathew and I cuddled together, we talked, laughed and exchange numbers. For the next week I was so excited my heart raced out of my chest. It was a Friday night when Ruby called and said we were going to Ethan's house. " Get ready bitch we are going to Ethan's and we are SPENDING THE NIGHT!! Oh I would look hot if I were you Mathew is joining us!!"
"Ruby I don't know what to wear you have to come over and help this poor bitch out!"
"Fine I'm coming now bye bitch xoxo" I was hopeful, excited, nervous, everything you could ever imagine. I was picturing how everything would turn out. All of a sudden DING! A text from Mathew OMG! He said "can't wait to spend the night with you. Wear something good ;)" I wanted to melt his words, his texts, sent a tingling sensation through me. About an hour after Ruby showed up. We finally left for our sleep over. The second we called through the door I was greeted by Mathew. He picked up and walked me into the bedroom we were sleeping in for the night. "This is where we are sleeping tonight just me and you alone in this bed" Mathew said in a low and husky voice. I was a bit nervous Mathew wasn't a virgin and I was afraid of being touched. We sat on the couch watching the notebook. Of course we let Ruby pick the first movie. As a romantic scene came on Mathew grabbed me and kissed me passionately and slowly. That sent electricity through my body. I felt a feeling that I never felt before. I deepened the kiss. "Someone is turned on" he whispered in my ear. I blushed because I was. He took me by the hand and led me to the room. "Use protection kids". I shot a nervous look at Ethan and Ruby who were laughing at me. When we got in the bed I sat on the bed. Mathew took off his shirt. Revealing his muscles and his well toned abs. I was more turned on as ever. Mathew climbed on top of me and kissed me the same way he kissed me on the couch. He started taking off my shirt. I started to shake. "It's okay don't be nervous." He whispered. "If you want to go slower let me know". I wanted him to stop but my body said otherwise. "No I'm fine" I lied. He removed his pants and mine. He climbed back on top of me and put it in I wanted to scream, I wanted to run, I wanted to cry. It hurt so bad. The next thing I new tears were coming from my eyes. He must have noticed because he stopped. "Are you okay, do you want to stop?" I wanted to say yes but I shook my head no. And he continue for what felt like an hour. When we were done we went back to the living room. I was in pain. I wanted to cry. "Welcome to the woman world." Ruby laughed. I laughed with her. I looked at Mathew who was to busy with his phone. " Guys I have to go be back tomorrow." Mathew got up and left. I was sad but kind of felt a sense of relief. The next morning we cooked
breakfast and waited for Mathew. He never came. I haven't heard from him. A few weeks passed and I still haven't talked to him. Until the last day of summer. "Arianna look we can't be together. I don't want to date you. I kind of like someone else." It felt like my heart was ripped out of my chest. "O-okay I-I understand." I left and I went home to call Ruby and cry my eyes out. I couldn't tell her with out crying. She come over and comforted me.
