Scapa Flow, Orkney Islands, United Kingdoms of Europe
April 30th, 1950

On the end of the pier, a commodore gazes that the sea. On his left stands his brother, Charles. The commodore is Roland Allerson, younger brother to Charles and second child of the Allerson family. Both joined the navy at a relatively young age with Charles being commissioned into it 6 months before his graduation, while Roland was commissioned 2 months before he graduated to join the war effort 12 years ago.

Both brothers have made distinguished careers in the navy, having doing so to honor pass Allersons and to follow family tradition.

Charles:"We should get going Roland, Admiral Wolfgang is waiting for us."

Roland:"Let me just do this for a little longer, just need to breathe this in."

He chuckles at his brother, reminding him of his briefing.

Charles:"You have 5 minutes before it begins. You might have to run."

Roland:"You should've said so, be right back."

He watches him book it towards the HQ as he turns back to the sea. The harbor was buzzing with activity, ships going in and out while dock workers maintain them and bring out cargo as well as load them in.

Operation Horizont was planned to last in the duration of six months, having plans to map the immediate coastline and nearby islands discovered by scouting flights from his fleet.

He then walks towards HQ, having tricked his brother to attending it earlier than he wanted. As he enters, he is greeted by the sight of officers, adjuctants, and clerks doing their rounds.

He walks down the hall towards a lift, its operator standing next to the controls.

Operator:" What floor Admiral?"

Charles:" Bottom level Cosby."

Cosby:"Briefing sir?"

Charles:"It would seem so."

The operator nods before closing the lift and sending it to the bottom level. Once it reaches the bottom level, Charles thanks the man before leaving towards the war room. One of the guards opened the door before he entered and greets him.

As he enters the room, he is greeted by the sight of his brother and his expression said 'Screw you ya git'.

Roland:"You tricked me, there was barely anyone here."

Charles:"Check your watch."

Roland:"I did, we had 15 minutes left before the briefing starts."

He chuckles at him before turning his focus on the table in front of him and the board behind it. The board had what naval units would be used and their corresponding commanders.

On table was a map of the Area of Operation. He examined it closely and turned to his brother.

Charles:"So, your squadron, along with the other contingents, would be the ones to escort the civilian researchers."

Roland:"It would seem so, but with it not being determined, it would go in any other way."

They both waited until the room starts to fill up with officers when finally the 3 high-ranking officers of the expedition force finally arrived. It was Vice-Admiral Krysech of the Northern Republic of Russia, Fleet-Admiral Gordon Wolfgang of Western Naval Command, and Vice-Admiral Park of the North American Alliance.

The officers in the room salute to their arrival and placed their hands down when they said 'at ease'.

Wolfgang:"What's in the agenda today gentlemen?"
