Chapter 3 :The importance of gummy bears to the human population

Damn.Why is that chick crying eh.Did I do something to piss the shit of her ?Sheez today morning she had a full-on swag and now ?I don't get her.Seriously.She doesn't even desere my time so wait why am I even thinking about that chick ? Whatever,I have basketball practice in an hour.I gotta warm up.

Victoria's POV 

"Cause they're just girls breaking hearts,eyes bright uptight just girls" Girls by 'The 1975' played through my earphones.After the 'little incident' with my bestfriend or ex-bestfriend I was in desperate need of distraction and Matt Healy's amazing accent and voice did just that.I would've started blabbering about them now if I wasn't so preoccupied.Meridith is a cheerleader(she was selescted for extras but since a cheerleader got transfered Mer took her place.I thought she is/was different.She was always popular while I am in the middle of the table of popularity (I lean more towards the popular side,but anyways.She has hooked up with quite a few 'hot' guys from our school,including Austin.They had a really short fling but she still has a massive crush on him.She seemed different .Her and the cheer-gang's comment make me feel loserish.I never had low self esteem but,when your Bff degrades you ITS A WHOLE DIFFERENT BALLGAME.

''Tori,tori,tori,tori...." my friend Ian kept pestering.

"Toritoritoritoritoritoritoritoritoritoritoritoritoritori" My other friends with whom I was sat by the table in the cafeteria dragged Leah,Bree,Drew,Laney and Scott.

"Earth to Tori"Leah said

"Uh?" I said

"Girl you totally were zoned out during our convo'' she said.

"No I wasn't."I vehemenently deny,knowing what Leah is telling is the truth.

"Really?Sooooo what were we discussing about ?" She enquires.

"The importance of gummy bears to the human population."I say.

"Uh you got that right." she says disappointed that her tryst to play Sherlock has failed,But Wait they were seriously discussing about that ? Eh afterall they are my friends and apparently thats what the cool kids do *insert swaggy emoji*.Lots of swag we have got here huh.

"Where's Meridith ?"She asks.

"How the hell will I know ?"I retort.

"Cause you are best friends" were best friends.

As if on que Meridith and her posse enter.Meridith shoots us or more specifically me a haughty look which is filled with pride and a 'I-am-better-then-you' essence.All of them are shocked.

Why is she acting like this ?My mind is utterly confused.Another gasp is heard though the cafeteria.Austin has entered.He has the bad-ass attitude to tee and it works perfectly for him.Lacy and the girls get 'oomphs' and 'hotness' on.Oh! only if they realised that they look like disproportioned punching bags with all that chest-pushing and back-curvingAustin starts walking towards me.Wait ME?Why?

"Looks like you are not sweating form your eyes anymore"he says after scanning my face.My fiends shoot me a confused look.I chose to ignore them.

"And listen don't even try your attitude with me.Girls LOVE to have bragging right related to me and don't pull your shit.And that incident should not get out." He says and leaves then.Who the hell does he think he is ?

"Hey jerk face,look at your ugly mug and rotten personality.I don't want 'bragging' rights to any of your shit.Fuck off and think about getting an attitude change kay ?"I spit back.

"Yeah yeah and have a good-for-nothin personality like you ?Well he is good thanks honey" this time a different voice speaks.I tun around to see Meridith.Austin is as shocked as I am.The whole school knew we were bffs-not because everybody knew everybody(which is not the case) but because Mer is gorgeous and popular and I had plenty of friends.

By now I am sure that we have gathered a large audience. I don't care.I hate this jerk with my soul and my anger towards Meri-bitch is rising.Austin suddenly grabs my hand and drags me out of the cafeteria. "What do you think you are doing jack-ass ?"I yell.

The stud doesn't reply and keeps pulling me.I try to resist but I know that its pointless, Heck he plays ball ! He pins me on the locker

"What was that ?" He asks me.

"What ? You getting your ass handed to you ?"I ask.

" Babe, you can only dream of handing my ass." He replies.

"I was talking bout that Meridith chick.Isn't she your best mate...I thought so least?"he enquires.

"Hmmm I even I thought so"I murmur but unfortunately not soft enough for him to not hear.

"What?"he asks.

"Fuck up"I answer its still a touchy subject.

Trinnnnn the bell rings indicating that lunch break is over.
