Chapter 4 : Why do I keep zoning out ?

*flashback*

"Honey check your email fast...your internship letter is supposed to come."My dad shouted.

"Uhuh." I replied,oppening my laptop.Well my parents are top notch doctors,and they are travelling around the world and doing surgeries all the time.I wanted to do an internship for university credits, wouldv'e helped mom or dad but them being away most of the time didn't make my plan seem very viable.Therefore I decided to intern at 'Hawthorn and Lacey'.You see Meridith's dad owned a part of this humungous business empire(thus Meridith will be interning there too) along with whoever this Hawthorn dude was.Hmmph whatever,ifthis dude has a daughter or son,he or she has a ninety nine percent chance of going to my school as the rich types prefer my school.I click on 'Inbox' and hola the email has arrived.please let me be selected please,please,please...................................................................

The email starts to open and wohoo !!!

''Your resume is well docmented and you have quite a lot of accoplishments by this tender age.We welcome you with open arms,and we cannot wait to nuture your talent.'' is written in bold letters.Yay !!!.

Austin's Pov
"Oohh she's a lil runaway..."  rang through my ears, Okay this is the last day of break.Sheesh man, when the school will begin everybody is gonna be engrossed in internship shit.I am pretty lucky for my dad happens to own half of 'Hawthorn and Lacy' which is one of the biggest multi-billion dollar empire, and a company in which everyone's gonna be dying to work for.I being the boss's son, get to lead the interns and my future too is secured.So basically I don't give two shits about this hassle .I havegot good brains so I score pretty well and I guess that I'm a nerd deep, deep down but nobody is ever gonna know that.
"Baby come over..pweejjj ♥♡;) :* " my flavor of the week texts me.Hm I'm pretty bored of her but heck I ain't doing anything now, so I might as well go.
"Commin in 15 ;)" I reply.

Tori's Pov

"Tori you okay ?." The girl beside me asked.She was my lab partner.

"Uhmuhm yeah umm deffo." I told her.

Why do I keep zoning out ? Urghh Tori get a grip.

"Urm can you urm urmmm " the girl stuttered.

"What ?"well that came out harsher than intended.

"Urm urm I urm want urm to umm haveamakeovertoimpressAustinatthatbacktoschoolpartytonightbutIamnotinvitedcanIgoasyourguest?"I chuckled to myself.

"Yeah sure. "I said to her smiling. She looks shocked at my positive answer and this builds up a laughing sensation in my throat but I control it in order to avoid appearing rude.

I may not be excessively popular or 'the queen bee' but I do have quite a lot of friends hence I get invited to all the parties and stuff.The back to school party happens to be a pretty big ass deal but I don't exactly know why.

''Wohooo your eyes are poppin'' Leah screeched.She is the overly excited type you know.I look down to examine myself-I was wearing a LBD with a gold thick metal belt on my waist and sheer panels on the sleeves and neck.My eyes were smokey and my lips were done nude.My hair was done in a high pony tail.Hmmm I looked good but I didn't look like MYSELF.Usually before this stuff me and Mer would get dressed up together and other crap.I am not a makeup fan so having this much suff on my face nauseates me."Tori honey,come fast.'' my grandmother who I call 'gram gram' shouted.I live with my parents and grandparents at this massive house or mansion in Hamptons.Previously gram-gram and grandpa used to live in New ork but they have shifted here as they didn't want me to be to myself as my parents were away ninety percent of the time.The New York apartment has not been sold though,and we still go there.

"Oh! My darling you look so perfect.Utterly gorgeous.Like the tooth-fairy'' Gram-Gram said to me.This lightened up my mood.How I love my grandparents !

"Oh Leah you look utterly gorgeous too !" Gram-gram stated acknowledging the presence of Leah.

"Thank you gram-gram'' she replied.Yeah,all of my friends call her 'gram gram'.

"Bye lovelies."she said enthusiastically.

"Buh bye gram gram" we replied.

The house reeks of alchohol, junk and EDM.How surprising ! I am pretty sure that the track list has been selected by Clue's girlfriend Tasha.Me and Tasha get along really well.She is the most stereotype-breaking cheerleader I've met.Clue O'donnel' s house is massive.Its maybe even bigger than mine.The guy is is really good looking, but he is not as easy on the eye as his best friend Austin Hawthorn.The thing which puts me off big time is his name.I maybe called shallow for this but which guardian in their right mind names their kid 'Clue' ?
"Tori hey !'Tasha exclaims as soon as she spots me.
"Hey Tasha, woah man you look so gorgeous in your dress !"I compliment,.
"Not as good as you though."She compliments back.
"Aweeeeee where were you all this while ? I was going bonkers over there" She says pointing towards the cheerleaders crowding the mini bar.Tasha likes the activity of cheerleading but the whole 'cheerleader scenario'is not really her vibe.Its fair to say that she posseses a strong sense of dislike towards Lara and her bevy of beauties.I share that dislike too and I have a valid reason.I feel my phone vibrate and I pick it up.

"Hello ?"

"Urm hey honey.How is the party going ?" gram gram answers.

"Goin fine.Whaddya call me bout ?" I enquire.

"Honey you got to come back now" she orders.

"Why gram gram ?" I ask her my tone suddenly serious.

"Oh honey actually we have this charity auction that we have to attend.It is really important.I kind of forgot about it,so basically you have to come home now so that we can go there together."

Phew! she had me there for a second.But wait charity auction ? Charity auction means dressing up and I absolutely detest the concept of make-up and 'dressy dresses'.I mean,I have to wear dressy dresses when I go to parties because it wouldn't exactly look goo if I showed up at a party wearing a Nirvana Tee and vintage jeans.Therefore,I try to avoid parties as much as I can.

"Gram gram is it necessary ?"

"Yes,absolutely.Its being hosted by the 'Hawthorn family,as in the family who own half of 'Hawthorn and Lacy' .Therefore they co-own the company in which you will be interning,and dream of working for in the future.'' 

Hmmm thats good news.Maybe I leave give a good first impression ?Wait it means that there is a fairly good chance that Meridith is going to be there.I freak out for a second but I am not going to let Meridith ruin my internship.I am so going to that auction.
