The next weekend: Sugawara's POV
I was in my room getting ready. I was a nervous mess... Daichi was coming over to take me on a date. Though, I wasn't really sure where we were going. My thoughts were disrupted when there was a knock at my door. I quickly finished fixing my hair and hurried to the door, opening it with a small smile."Hey. Are you ready to go??" Daichi asked, handing me a flower he was holding behind his back. I laughed, taking the flower from him and taking a sniff before nodding. I quickly put the flower into a vase and made sure that the little girl I was watching was doing alright over at Bokuto and Akaashi's place for the night before climbing into Daichi's car.
"So, where're we going??"
"Secret."
"Aw come on!"
"Nope!" I pouted, leaning back in the car seat before smiling faintly. I kept bugging Daichi the entire car ride, asking where we were going but he was pretty good at keeping it a secret. Finally I gave up and just watched out the window, looking up at the evening sky. I was so lost staring at the golden and red painted sky that I didn't even notice when the car had stopped at our destination.
"We're here." Daichi said, snapping me out of me thoughts. I blushed from some embarrassment at zoning out so hard, Daichi being such a gentleman and helping me out of the car. He made me close my eyes and held my hand, having me follow him. I laughed, keeping my eyes shut and following after him, curious to where we were headed. Daichi told me to keep my eyes shut and let go of my hand. I heard a little bit of moving and rummaging around in something but I didn't peak, even though I really wanted to.
"Okay, open." He said as I slowly opened my eyes. I stared at the sight in front of me before giggling, Daichi taking my hand again and leading me to a blanket that was laid out on the grass. We both sat together, Daichi reaching into a box and handing me some food from it.
"Probably not nearly as good as the food you can cook, but, it won't kill you." He said with a tiny smile, making me laugh and open the food. It smelled pretty good. I took a bite and let out a content hum while I ate.
"Is it good?"
"Mhm! You aren't the worst cook Daichi." I said, Daichi smiling as he watched and soon joined me in eating. While we ate, we both talked and watched the sky and passing birds and clouds up above us. After a lot of the food and drink was gone, Daichi put everything back into the little box and scooted it off of the blanket. The two of us laid back on the soft blanket. I laid right next to Daichi, letting my head rest on his chest with one of his arms around me while we watched the sun begin to set.
Once the sun had finally gone down, we both laid and admired the stars. The sky looked so full of stars since Daichi had taken me further out in the country, far away from a bunch of lights or buildings. It was getting kinda cold though.. I wish I had brought a jacket or something if I had known what we were gonna be doing. Daichi must've felt me give a little shiver. I yelped in surprise when he suddenly grabbed me with both arms and managed to roll me onto his chest, a loud laugh leaving my lips as I faced him.
"What're you doing??"
"Keeping you warm." He said with a smile. I blushed faintly, leaning down and pressing a kiss to his lips as a thanks. Daichi smiled faintly at me before I rested my head against his chest for a pillow. My eye lids started to feel heavy.. I was warm and I could hear Daichi's rhythmic heartbeat and the sound of him breathing. I really didn't mean to, but, it was hard to resist falling asleep.
Daichi's POV
I kept my eyes up on the sky, looking between the different stars and constellations. I tore my eyes away when I heard Suga let out a small snore. I tried to not laugh, looking down at the sleeping man on top of me. Well, I should probably get him home. Somehow I managed to get up and not wake Suga up. I was pretty tired myself while I carried Suga back to my car. I got him in the passenger seat and made sure his seatbelt was secure and the seat was leaned back a little bit so he could be a bit more comfortable.Eh, I could come back for the box of food and blanket later.. besides, if someone decided to steal them, all I'd be missing is a blanket and some leftover sandwiches. After I climbed in the car, I turned the radio on low and listened to some music on the drive back to Suga's.
Once we were there, I didn't want to wake him, but I couldn't just leave him here and I didn't want to seem weird by just taking him back to my place asleep.
"Suga?"
"...Mm.."
"We're back at your home. Come on, I'll get you inside and to bed but you need to unlock your door." I said while gently shaking Suga's shoulder. He whined slightly but dragged himself out of the car and to his door. I laughed faintly and followed, watching as he fumbled with his keys and finally got them into the lock. We bot stepped into the house, Suga yawning and slipping his shoes and coat off. I slipped my shoes off quickly before picking Suga up again and taking him to his room for bed.
He was being so cute.. hanging onto me while I held him. I didn't want to let go. Once in his room, I laid him down and put the blanket overtop of him. A kiss was pressed to his forehead before I turned to go home.
"Daichi...?"
"Yeah?"
"Stay.." He mumbled, sitting up in his bed. I asked if he was sure, Suga just nodding sleepily and reaching an arm out for me. I couldn't resist him, so I just quietly took my jacket off and laid it on the back of a chair before walking over. Suga watched me walk closer before smiling.
"Wanna borrow some clothes again?" He asked to which I just shrugged and said I could sleep in whatever tonight. Suga sat there in some thought before I saw the tiniest grin on his face.
"Just take your clothes off and sleep, more comfy that way isn't it?"
"...I.. well, it is but. I don't, mind sleeping in what I'm wearing." I said, a bit surprised by his answer. Sure, jeans were definitely not comfy to sleep in, but I didn't want to make Suga uncomfortable by sleeping with him in my freaking boxers. He just smiled and shook his head, insisting I do as he said. Finally I gave in and quietly took my jeans and shirt off, already feeling more comfortable. I turned a bit red when Suga did the same, kicking his pants off the bed from underneath the blanket.. I was glad it was dark or surely he'd make fun of me for blushing.
I climbed into the bed with Suga, blushing a bit more when our bare skin came into contact when he snuggled up next to me again. Sure, I've slept shirtless with him, like once. But it felt different when I could also feel his skin against mine and his legs tangling with mine while he put his head back onto my chest and went right back to sleep. I hope he couldn't hear my heartbeat racing before he passed out.. After finally calming myself, I just wrapped my arms securely around the man on me, kissing his head before falling asleep myself.
