Time skip to Christmas Eve: Daichi's POV
"This snow is getting bad.. glad I'm almost at Suga's." I mumbled to myself as I drove down the icy road slowly. Spending time to see some of my family and friends in town was nice, but I was excited to spend a weekend with my boyfriend for Christmas. Finally making it to Suga's, he greeted me excitedly and dragged me inside.

"I see you're wearing your gift I got you last week." He said with a big smile while helping me put my coat away. I chuckled slightly and nodded, kissing the top of his head.

"Of course I am, I love it." I said, Suga smiling shyly when the little girl hopped down. She ran over to me, giggling when I picked her up and kissed her cheek. Suga smiled and rolled his eyes, taking the small bag of gifts I had brought for the two of them to the decorated tree.

"Wanna help me and dad decorate cookies?"

"How dare you two be decorating cookies without me!" I exclaimed, making Suga and the girl laugh. I went to the kitchen with both of them, seeing the mess of sprinkles and frosting on the table along side the sugar cookies that were cooled and spread out. I set the girl down, sitting next to her while Suga sat on her other side as she had fun and went back to spreading frosting and sprinkles onto the cookies. Suga handed me a little piping bag of frosting and a few cookies while he smiled and decorated a few of his own.

After a bit, I excused myself and put my coat back on. Suga watched, questioning what I was doing. I smiled and reassured him I'd be right back and just had forgotten something in my car.

Sugawara's POV
I shrugged it off, watching Daichi go out to his car. The cookies were pretty much all decorated, so all that was left was really just to clean up this huge mess. The little girl of course bailed and decided she was gonna be upstairs while I cleaned. I normally would make her help, but it was Christmas Eve, she could have it. For now anyway.

"Want some help baby?" Daichi said while I was in the middle of putting the sprinkles away. I gave him a nod, waiting for him to take his jacket and boots off again before he helped me. Once everything was cleaned up, I called the girl back down so she could eat dinner.

Time skip to midnight
"There, I think that's all the presents from 'Santa' under the tree." I said, placing a last gift with the others before curling up on the couch with Daichi. He smiled faintly, kissing my forehead as we both cuddled and admired the tree that lit up the otherwise dark room.

"Suga, I have a gift for you. And since it is midnight, it's technically Christmas." Daichi said, making me curious when he reached into his pocket. He made me close my eyes and held my hand. Once he told me to open, I looked down at our hands, gasping to see a silver ring, beautifully engraved.

"Daichi.. you didn't have to get me something like this..!"

"Don't be silly, I wanted to."

"But, how much did this even cos-" I started in almost a panic, Daichi quickly cutting me off with a kiss. After a few seconds, I relaxed while Daichi put his arms back around me.

"Don't worry about the price or anything, that doesn't matter. What matters is, do you like it?"

"Of course I like it, I love it..! I'm just, surprised." I said with a small laugh, Daichi nodding and telling me he wasn't about to return it so it was permanently mine. I quietly went back to cuddling Daichi, listening to the quiet Christmas music that played softly in the background while staring at the ring. My mind started to wander, imagining what... what a wedding band would look like on my and Daichi's hand.

Maybe I shouldn't be thinking about stuff like that, especially considering we've only been dating a bit over a month. But I couldn't help it, I loved Daichi and it was getting hard to imagine life without him walking with me to work or spending the nights together. I smiled to myself, just for the night, letting my mind have it's scenarios before I ended up falling asleep.
