Jim, Pheobe and Lisa sat in Ariana's bedroom watching her rummage through a pile of books. Ariana had sent them through a portal to her home making them all intrigued by her bedroom. It seemed the only thing in the room was a bed and an entire study of spell books.

Pheobe had gotten up to leave the room slowly as she had to go to the bathroom. Ariana was so distracted that she hadn't even noticed Pheobe exit.

"Ariana, are you finally prepared for the merge?" a strange deep male voice asked from behind her as she stood in the corridor. She gave the man a confused look. He must've known Ariana.

At realisation that she didn't know who he was, the man rubbed his head. "Oh, you must be Pheobe. I'm your biological father," the man said awkwardly. He knew that if he met Pheobe he'd feel himself get trenched with guilt after all the things he had done.

A large smile emerged on Pheobe's face as she leapt up and pulled the man into a tight hug, much to his suprise. He could feel a tear slightly creep out of his eye but tried his best to suppress it and pulled away from the hug giving her a smile. knowing that as soon as she and Ariana merge, she'll hate him. He had to prepare for the day they discover the truth.

"Now, ready yourself for the sacrifice," her father said returning to his usual serious mood.

Back in Ariana's bedroom
"What are you even looking for?" Liam asked her with a raised eyebrow.

"The spell for the merge, obviously," Ariana said with annoyance in her voice. She walked back and forth from the room and stopped. "My mother," she said with more annoyance. She thought her mother was behind her after she killed her.

They all watched her create a small circle with candles around it using a piece of chalk. She seemed to ignore everyone else in the room except Pheobe, who returned into the room.

"Now! Sit at the other side of this circle and hold this picture," Ariana said quite quickly giving Pheobe a picture of a woman. Pheobe looked at her in confusion  and did as she said.

Ariana sat at the opposite side of Pheobe and began to chant a spell. "Premithia ouijio. Premithia ouijio. Premithia ouijio. Close your eyes and repeat that with me," Ariana desperately told Pheobe. Pheobe nodded and took a deep breath before chanting the spell despite not knowing what it was for. Liam starred at the two similar witches chant. He felt like he was in love with Pheobe, and Ariana was part of her but she didn't really like him. He had to find a way to win her over if he wanted to stay with Pheobe.

"Nothing's happening! Why isn't anything happening?" Ariana said as everyone could feel the frustration in her voice.

"Who are you looking for?" Jim asked trying to help the witch.

"My mother," she huffed and exited the room angrily. Lisa and Pheobe then followed her out to help as Liam looked on and sat down next to Jim who tried to make things less awkward.

"So, you're a werewolf too, huh?" Jim said with an excited smile. He was alone most of the time and being adopted, he never met another werewolf.

Liam simply gave him a small glare and looked away uninterestedly. The only thing he wanted to know is whether there would be hope for his and Pheobe's relationship after the merge.

"You never told me we were looking for mom. Is she still alive? Why didn't you tell me?" Pheobe asked trying to get something out of her.

"She isn't alive. I couldn't count on her then, so why would I expect her to be there for me now.  I was contacting her from the spirit world to get the spell but to no avail. All witch spirits go there," Ariana bluntly said gaining sympathetic looks from both Pheobe and Lisa.

"Wait, so you never had a spell?" Lisa said snapping out of her sympathetic gaze beginning to sound more demanding than usual earning suspecting looks from the two girls. "I, um, just really want to make sure you guys merge and don't die," she said trying to avert their suspicions. They simply shrugged it off and continued talking.

"So, why would Mom have the spell?" Pheobe asked trying to get something out of Ariana.

"Obviously, she created the spell and separated us. She deserved death. You really don't remember anything, do you?" Ariana asked and received a small nod from Pheobe who didn't remember the actual first ten years of her life. Pheobe was sad by what Ariana had said. Did their mother really deserve to be killed?

Lisa couldn't wait any longer and wanted to get the merge over with. "I know the spell," she said silently but loud enough for them to hear.

"And how would you know it?" Ariana asked with her eyebrows raised.

"I pay attention to what you say," Lisa replied awkwardly. "You told me you wrote it down in there after your mother died," she added pointing at a book Ariana had still not checked in written "My Diary" as she never thought of herself to have a diary.

She shrugged and smiled at Lisa causing Lisa to blush lightly. "Good work," Ariana said with smirk as she was in a seemingly better mood than before.

Pheobe was confused but even slightly jealous that Lisa and Ariana were spending more time together. The three girls got back to the room to tell Liam and Jim they were going to merge the next morning.

"First thing tomorrow, we'll merge." Pheobe simply said.

"How about school?" Liam and Lisa asked unanimously remembering that they were teenagers with schoolwork to do.

"Trust me, this is more important than school," Ariana said receiving a shrug from the two.

"How about you, Jim? Do you have anything important?" Pheobe asked the lonely, suicidal man.

"No. I'm unemployed and live alone," Jim said excitedly with a bright smile on his face. He couldn't wait to finally be put out of his misery once and for all.

"Good, I think." Pheobe said awkwardly.
