...from someone who's on their second week of college.
- start writing checklists if you haven't already. i literally just started doing that yesterday and it's already changed my life for the better. i've been living for a lil over 18 years and i've never made a checklist like that before, but i swear to god it's life-changing
- read through all the class syllabuses before going deeper into the week so you'll get a better understanding. i'm in my second week and i literally got behind from reading a whole ass book because i didn't know that WE WERE SUPPOSED TO READ IT. don't be stupid like me.
- besides the priority checklist, make a leisure time checklist. for example, i filled one side of a paper with a list of priorities such as homework assignments and other boring stuff. the other side was filled with a list of options, for when i have a break.
- it's perfectly fine to treat yourself once in a while. you just gotta trust the process and make sure you're not getting too much of something or else everything will fall out of balance.
- we all have our own methods of balancing our lives. it's up to you to figure out what's best for you. and keep in mind that i've just been giving you suggestions, not forcing you to do this.
in the end, it's up to YOU. some people have their lives planned out, some don't. BOTH are VALID.
a few quotes and tips from older college friends:
"just go with the flow and wing it."
"it's okay to not know anything in the beginning."
