Japanese began to immigrate to America in the 1860s. Mari Ishikawa chose to participate in the Steel Ball Run, a race that is from San Diego to New York. Mari comes across Johnny Joestar an ex-jockey who desires to walk again, and Gyro Zeppeli
"Mariiii! Don't go!" Mari's little brother, Fusazane called out to her. Mari stopped counting her money and looked over to her little brother. She frowned.
"I will be careful Fusazane, don't worry," She smiled sweetly then, walking up to the boy, kneeling down to ruffle his hair. The boy squirmed to whack her hands away, Mari only responding with a chuckle, pulling the boy in a tight hug.
From afar she sees her mother, the girls eyes glared at the parental figure like a predator stalking its prey, slowly pulling her brother closer protectively, the mother only stared back, staring like Mari was the lowest scum on earth. Then she kissed her little brother on the forehead.
"You just get away anyway you can if things are too much...." Mari whispers to her brother then leaves the house to make her way to the booth to give money to join the race.
The man at the booth explained the race. Two days till the race would start, the entrance fee was 1,200. You couldn't kill people in any way to affect their riding, can't use anything besides a horse to get to the end. If you lose a horse you can't get a new one, if you accept any attention from officials you are disqualified and you have to go through checkpoints.
After walking out Mari went over to the tents, about to settle in her own tent, her horse quietly following along. What suddenly stopped her was someone yelling nearby. "You think you're big over 20$?!" A man yelled at a figure with long blonde hair, his lips green. How did Mari not notice?
"Is that your weapon?!" The man shouted at the blonde man. " that dirty round thing by your side is your weapon?!" He asked. The guy laughed. "Well just go ahead and kill me with that!"
"Shut up!" said one of the guys keeping a grip on the male. "Shut up and wait for the sheriff!"
The man pulled out a gun and pointed it at the blonde male.
"Hah! You're dead!" He exclaimed, but then he was tackled down on the ground, like face in contact with the dirt, the blonde male took his gun. "Agh- he took my gun! You're perceptive man...such an easy kill....you didn't catch me when I took your cash from you, I'm gonna stalk you!" He declared. "I'm gonna join the race and stalk you and block you the whole way through!" He exclaimed.
Mari raised an eyebrow. What a creep, the girl thought to herself. She kept watching the confrontation happening. She considered going back to her tent and let the big crowd watch, but then the stranger threw down the thief's gun on the ground in front of him, the two cops letting go of him.

"But...." The blonde showed a bit of his teeth, engraved GYRO ZEPPELI onto them. "...if you do that'll be the sign if you're really gonna bother me....''
The thief stared daggers at Gyro. Mari lost her focus when a man in blue clothing...no kidding...blue clothing rolled up behind the crowd in a wheelchair. "What is it?! What's that noise?!" The male exclaimed, pushing people out of the way the best he could on his wheelchair, one of those being Mari.
Mari flinched. Why that little...Mari could barely see as it is! Now she couldn't since this guy wanted to see more then the others! Mari then proceeded to try and make her way to the front too, the cops finding the sheriff, the standoff between Gyro and the thiwf began.
"H-Hey are you serious about this?! It was a joke! I'm just a pickpocket man, I'm getting scared by your face!" The thief exclaimed. Gyro still just stared daggers at the male.
"Hey you two!" The sheriff exclaimed. "What are you doing here?!"
Then suddenly the thief whipped up the gun and then pointed it at Gyro, Gyro then whipped a green steel ball at the male, the ball hitting his arm. It was like in unison, Mari, the guy in the wheelchair, and the sheriff all gasped.

Then suddenly the guy shot himself. "Sheriff!" One of the cops exclaimed. "W-We should-"
"Nah leave it be, it was just another duel happening, no laws were broken," The sheriff told the cop.
"You saw what that guy did! He threw a steel ball into that guys arm but then it bounced back!" The cop exclaimed. The guy in the wheelchair once again shoved Mari aside, Mari about to go to hell for considering hitting a cripple.
'That wasn't what happened! The steel ball was spinning...at high speed! And it was still spinning when it hit that guys arm!' The guy thought to himself, making his way over to Gyro.
"Hey you!" He exclaimed. "What's up with that steel ball?!"
Then he went over to go and try and grab Gyros steel ball. "I need to see it!" He exlciamed.
"No don't touch it!" Gyro exclaimed. "Its still spinning!" He added. The stranger in blue went to touch the green steel ball, but then he ended up rising from his chair in doing such.
Mari ends up meeting two very bizarre men on that day, Gyro Zeppeli, and Johnny Joestar, a man who desires to walk and eventually learns to once more.

Okay so like Steel Ball Run is an amazing manga you should definetely read I 10000/10 reccomend it. I just love the manga so much but it's not animated yet Sooo yeah- Edit: okay just realized that Gyros teeth actually say go go Zeppeli which was a mistake on my part but eeeck
