Falling For The Stars

Preface

A soft sigh of relief escaped a small female as she messed with the hem of her shirt. She turned her gaze to watch a large male walk away, a happy flutter hitting her chest as he was farther from her. Finally, she was done with him. A smile graced her lips finally before turning towards her friend who had just dealt with the biggest problem the female had.

"Oh.. I don't know how to thank you, Sera. Seriously.. I didn't know if he would actually leave. You know how manipulative he is.." The smaller female sighed before running a hand through her strawberry blonde locks. She let out a soft chuckle as she turned to look at her friend. "Finally that he is far enough away, I will be going back home with my sister and my father. I never told either about this relationship because I knew my daddy would hitch the next flight to tear William a new asshole with his shiney gun."

Sera, a tall Hispanic female, gave a soft laugh along side her. "I feel you. I am just glad that the stupid fucker got the hint that you weren't coming back. Is that why you packed suitcases at the apartment?"

"Ah, yeah. I'm catching a flight at two AM tonight. The sooner I'm out of here, the better. Promise you'll come visit me?" The strawberry blond asked as she pouted gently, her arms wrapping around her best friend.

"Of course! How can I miss an opportunity to taste your famous cookies again?" Sera laughed as she hugged the smaller female back. "Okay. Let's get in the car and head back to my apartment. You have a long flight ahead of you."

Without a second glance behind her towards the worst man she had ever met in her life, the strawberry blond walked with her friend. She could feel her shoulders stand straighter now as a feeling of a new life hit her. The female could finally become who she wanted to.

And she didn't need anyone's approval.
