A sudden jolt from the aircraft brought the small, sleeping female back to reality as she let out a soft yelp. The strawberry blond sat up quickly and attempted to fix the rat's nest upon her head. After she finally managed to lay down her hair, the female moved to the window, opening the shutter. Her heterochromic eyes widened as she recognised the city she was flying over. She sighed gently before observing her outfit to make sure that her shirt wasn't caught on anything. The small female wore a light pink, flowery shirt with a low neckline and a pair of black skinny jeans that she thought matched perfectly. The female nodded to herself before thinking that maybe the plane was going to land soon. As if on cue, the pilot turned on the seat belt sign and began to make an announcement.
"Ladies and gents, we have arrived at our destination. Please buckle your seat belts and prepare for landing." The plane began to make a slow descent as it got closer to the airport. With a large bump, the plane landed safely and began to taxi to the gate. As they parked in the gate, the pilot came back on the intercom to make his final speech. "We want to thank you for flying Southwest Airlines. We have landed at eight-twelve in the morning. We hope you have a wonderful day and welcome to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Bye-bye."
After what felt like forever, the female sighed as the seat belt sign turned off and everyone stood to get their carry-ons. She stood from her seat and opened the overhead bin to take out what she called her mini-suitcase. Her gentle hands reached for her phone and took it off airplane mode so she could receive any messages or voicemails that were left during her near six hour flight. An excited flutter hit her as she glanced at her home screen background that had a picture of said female and her younger sister. She quickly moved her focus from her phone to the long line of people awaiting to get off the plane. Her heart began to beat fast as she would finally get to see her father and her sister since she left for college. The line began to move quicker, making it to where she made it out of the plane into the tunnel connecting to the gait in less than five minutes. As soon as she stepped into the room filled with people reuniting with family, a voice called out to her. She turned her head to see a brown hair male in a police uniform with open arms faced towards her. With an excited squeal, she threw herself into the man's arms.
"Oh! I missed you so much, Daddy! I can't wait to tell you about college!" She pulled away a few minutes after and looked around for a glimpse of another familiar face. "Where's Bella? I thought she was going to be here."
"She's at school. I told her that you had to switch flights to a later time." The man gave a knowing grin towards his eldest daughter as he motioned to the sign that read 'Baggage Claim'. A mischievous glint sparkled in her multi-coloured eyes as the implied idea set in her brain.
"So you're telling me that I get to surprise her at school? Does that mean I get to embarrass her as well?" The shorter female asked excitedly just to be justified by her father's nod. As soon as she stepped foot in the baggage claim area, her phone began to ring. She quickly moved to get her phone out of her pocket. She had recently bought a Motorola RAZR V3 and was still confused at how to use it. The phone said 'Jingle Bells' was calling her as her contact photo of the brown haired sister popped up. A small smile graced the strawberry blond as she answered the phone with a shush look at her father.
"Hello?" The female asked as she pointed at the two suitcases she owned. Her father caught on and went to retrieve them as his daughter mouthed a 'thank you'.
