You woke up the next morning and for the next 2 days you cleaned and organised everything. You had to make calls to your apartment's billing company to turn off your water and air for the next month while you were gone. You continued to do laundry and pack the bags that were going on the plane. Departure was tomorrow.
Finally the day had come. It was long anticipated. The flight was at 3, you would arrive at 7. You finished up lunch and packed up bubs. To the airport you go.
The flight was uneventful but you texted Clay the minute the plane landed
You <Best be waiting for me when i get off this god forsaken plane
DreamBoy <Oh no i forgot!!
You <You always use 2 exclamation points when you lie, shut up and be ready :|You could already feel the excitement build as you rushed off the plane and out into the tiny airport. You ran down past baggage claim and out the doors. You glanced at your phone and got ready to ask Clay which car when 2 strong arms wrapped around you from behind.
"Clay!" You say as he releases you. You pull his face into a kiss
"Hello y/n" Clay says laughing.
Clay grabs your bag and fails to realise the dog riding in the carrier on top.
"Aren't you going to say hi to my dog" You ask
Clay looks at you then looks down "OH hahahaha hi!" Clay bends down.
"Boston terrier" He says
"His name is bubs, he is the only male I will put above you" You laugh
"The dog will have to go then" Clay says in a fake murderous tone
"Take me to your car. I wanna see where you live." You order.
Clay leads you to a white Mercedes suv.
"I bet you rented this" You say surprised
"You say that as if I didn't let my friends go on 5,000 dollar shopping sprees" He said smiling. You pretend as if you haven't searched up his house on Realator.com to see where he lived. Sadly it had no pictures of the inside, but it was a gorgeous property tucked away in a secluded part of Seaside beach, with a 2 minute boardwalk to the beach. You pulled up to the house. It was a midcentury modern. The outside was chunks of stone with an almost flat roof, and windows making up the entire front wall. It had a small water feature out front. You open the dog carrier and bubs walked out. Even he was surprised.
"Those weren't there before," Clay says, glancing at the 2 boxes on his porch.
"How perfect" You say walking over and lifting them up.
"Are you going to let me in?" You ask peeking out from the stack of boxes.
"And you said you weren't moving in?" Clay asked with skepticism.
You walked in the door. His house was well decorated and clean.
"Where am I putting these?" You ask
You follow Clay though the single floor house. He walks down a hall with 4 bedrooms.
"Put the boxes in this room next to mine, you will be sleeping with me but that's a lot of clothes and i'm assuming you want space to stage them." He says with a smile. He is smart, that was your plan. He pulls your suitcase in and you drop the boxes. You both walk back down the hall. You were getting a good look at the open floor plan with night ceilings. Warm light coated the now darkeing living room. Along with the front the back wall was basically a huge window. There's no way that's hurricane safe.
"Where's Patches?' You question
Dream whistles and both bubs and Patches come running. Bubs was scared at first seeing a cat run in front of him. Patches paid no mind.
"Huh, I thought the 2 meeting were going to go worse than expected." You admit
"Me too" Clay says smiling, "Maybe it's meant to be" Clay pulls you into a kiss.
The electric feel you got the first time he kissed you hadn't faded yet and you had a feeling it wouldn't.
"I'm going to get cleaned up because you know, me and airports." You walk towards Clays room. "I'm surprised you didn't ask to join" You say.
"The night is still young mi amor..." He said letting out a small giggle. You walked into his large black stone shower. You took a nice long shower relaxing your muscles from the long flight. You removed your lasting mascara and put on a coat fresh. You got into a casual t-shirt and loose shorts. You walked out to hear talking coming from the opposite side of the house. You followed the noise and saw Clay streaming. You sent him a quick text.
You <Does the stream know im here?
DreamBoy <Not yet! To make things easier if we don't feel like telling them at all.You nodded and walked in quietly. Clay had set up your monitor as requested, right next to his. You debated hopping on but you decided to watch him instead. You watched his sexy hands move across the keyboard. It started to turn you on. Watching him focus hard while his hands moved quickly, the veins running up his arms flexing with each sudden movement. And of course, his laugh. He leaned back in his chair and flicked his mic up.
"Man you were really studying me." He shoots a smile your way.
"I find your expertise extremely hot..." You say gabbing one of his hands and studying it.
There were 3 rings on this hand, 2 on the other. Clay motioned to his lap. You perked up and climbed into the chair with him. You sat in a kneeling straddle position across his lap facing him. You wrapped your arms around his back and rested your head in the crook of his neck. You never really noticed his scent. It was warm and spicy, how fitting. You didn't realise how comfortable you were until you ended up dozing off and waking up to Clay carrying your tired body to the bedroom. You looked though sleepy eyes. You could see him looking down at you with a smile. He laid you down on the bed and crawled in after you. You were the little spoon. He slid his arm up your midsection and pulled you closer before grabbing the blankets and pulling them on top of you both. You tucked your head underneath his chin and drifted off into a deep sleep. You knew, in that moment, that you could be anywhere in the world, but it wouldn't be as perfect as you falling asleep with Clay at your side.
