The Next Chapter: Time to Go.

Y/n's Pov

So Kakashi and I are wandering around the village looking for Shika and then BOOM. I spot a pineapple headed boy wandering around all confused like. This doesn't bode well.

"Is that him?" Kakashi asks, looking at me and I nod.

"Yeah... Kage!" I wave with a smile. He looks over. Kageyama from Fairy Tail, sure, why not.

"Y/n? What..."

"Ahahaha! You're memory is a bit jumbled after that ambush too huh? I'll fill you in then... Our team is a bunch of jerks, running off without us!" Wow. Smooth.

"Well if you've found him, I'm going to go..."

"Ehhh? Well... fine... I can't keep you here."

"I have a mission anyways." I sweatdrop as he disappears.

"Y/n... what's going on?" Shikamaru asks and I blink.

"Like... you don't know at all?" He shakes his head.

"You mean that idiot didn't brief you?!"

"Who? I just appeared here and then Kakashi-sensei looked like that. You seemed to know what was going on so I played it off???"

I pinch the bridge of my nose. "Takashi." So I explained to him in the cliff notes version.

"Basically... we've got 24 hours to get back to our own time and try not to get killed in this timeline." I finished up. "Well, we had 24 hours."

"Well... why??"

"Because it was either you... or my brother." I say.

"Oh. Well, I'm glad you chose to live..." he says rather nonchalantly. I laugh.

"True." I smile.

"Kage?" He asks.

"Oh, an alias since you're born here and all and like... oh I dunno, little you and your dad being around so."

"Oh, right." I smile.

"Time travel messes with your head, huh?" He nods with a sigh.

"Yeah, I don't think it's compatible with me."

"Oof~ Welp, lets work on finding the components to do this jutsu and get home..." But it's never that simple, is it?

"Should we split up?" he asks. I nod.

"It's the most efficient. Meet back here in 30 minutes? If either isn't back by then, assume worst case and do whatever it takes to find them." I say and he nods.

"Sure."

"Great." With that we split. Minato had contacted me while I was explaining what was needed to perform the jutsu to get back home. It's pretty standard stuff that we can get anywhere... mostly. There's a few items that will be a bit of a trifling task and others will be hard I suppose. Easiest last. I decide with a nod, going off.

As I search around for one of the ingredients in the forest, I feel watched. Great.

I take a deep breath and turn around, knowing they've shown themselves.

"Who are you?" The man asks and I smile painfully.

"Hey, Obito." Of course. My luck. If he's around here it really is close to... yeah.

"!!!" Naturally he goes to kill me. Funny joke.

"Aw, that's not too nice..." I mutter. As he comes at me, probably out of sheer confusion and panic, unlike him, I hug him. "Shh."
