ÍROAS

An hour had passed since Harry, Ron, and Neville left for their detention. I decided to wait for them here in the common room, and so did Hermione. She's currently sitting on the couch, anxiously waiting for the others to come back.

Me on the other hand is just sitting on the floor in front of the fireplace, dumbfounded by the red and orange color of the flame, fighting for dominance. I glanced at Hermione when a sudden thought swam in my head.

"Uhm... Hermione, how's your transformation going on?" I asked which made her a bit startled.

"I've been doing fine Iro. How about you?" I pondered for a moment before answering Hermione's question.

"I haven't," I replied, which she answered back with a furrowed expression, "I don't want to get caught, okay? I want myself to be not discovered with wings. I still don't know how to change just being a panther, so I'd rather not do it here."

"But how will you get used to it if you're not practicing?"

"Hermione, I don't have time to do that in the mornings. And I don't want to risk getting caught sneaking out at midnight. Gryffindor has lost enough points." I blurted out. "You're lucky your form is an Otter. You could practice changing and fit yourself even in the cubicle."

"But didn't you say you can hide yourself in the dark? Can't you just do that and transform yourself?" She curiously asked. I considered for a moment then internally slapped my face for being an idiot and not thought about what she just said. But I still shook my head for disagreement.

"I think I should practice my ability one at a time. I guess I'll just do it back home. Besides, school year is about to end, and my Aunt knew about the wings, so I won't have any problem if I didn't manage to hide those immediately."

"Okay, but I really need to see your whole animal form in the future. Don't be selfish." She blurted out.

"Yeah sure! Next time!" I said. After that, none of us had spoken and wait for another half an hour for the others until Hermione spoke again,

"Have you checked the name of your Animagus Form?" she asked. Ever since I became a winged panther, or at least my other look, I have been searching in the library for any creatures that might resemble my form. Even in my collection cards of Greek and Roman creatures. But I was rather unfortunate because I still find nothing. It's like the animal had never existed.

I shook my head to answer her question, "Still nothing. There are other felines with wings but none of them is a panther." I stated, "I wish I knew something. It sucks not knowing anything about your other form." I heard my friend let out a faint sigh but then, she jolted up from her seat and ran towards her room.

"Wait here!" she shouted before disappearing from my sight.

A moment later, she came back with an unfamiliar book. It's quite old and the pages are a bit brownish now. She sat next to me and put the book on her lap. She kept rummaging the pages until she stopped in a sheet with an image of a brown fur coat small animal with four relatively short legs, a rounded face, short nose, circular shaped eyes and ears.

"It's a book of Animal Spirits. I got these from the library yesterday. McGonagall said that an Animagus form replicates the animal spirit within us, which reflects everything about the person. Look what it said." She excitedly handed me the book, but I just skeptically looked at her while pushing the book back.

"Hermione, do you have Alzheimer's now? I'm dyslexic for Merlin's sake. It would take me ages to read all of that!"

"Okay – okay, no need to shout Iro. - I'll just read it for you Young Master." She sarcastically said and stared at the book. I just rolled my eyes and waited for her to start reading.
