Emma entered the auditorium looking around. It was a surreal feeling for her. She hadn't been in there since they dedicated the auditorium in Finn's honor. She then noticed Marley walking in.

"Marley, how are you?" Emma asked. "I'm doing O.K." Marley replied. "I was actually looking for you." "Really?" Emma said. "What's on your mind?" "Well, two things really. One, I'm worried about my wedding with Kitty this Saturday." Marley replied. "You're not getting cold feet are you?" Emma asked. "I mean, as you know I had the same problem with Will my first time around, before we finally tied the knot two and a half months later." "Oh no, it's not like that, it's just..." Marley began to explain, then hesitated. "It's just what sweetheart?" Emma asked. "My father passed away years ago, and I don't...I don't have one to give me away at my wedding." Marley cried. "Oh Marley, there's no way I'm going to let that happen." Emma said smiling. "Really?" Marley's face brightened a bit. "Of course, I'd be happy to ask Will to give you away this upcoming weekend at your wedding. He's been a father figure to many students over the years, and I'm sure he wouldn't have a problem being your godfather for this special occasion." Emma explained. "Thank you Emma. Thank you so much." Marley said smiling. "My pleasure Marley." Emma said smiling back.

"Was there something else?" She asked. "Well, I've made my decision regarding your offer to become the new guidance counselor here at William McKinley High School." Marley replied. "And?" Emma asked. "I accept." Marley said. "Really?" Emma asked. "Yes. This school needs someone who cares deeply about other people, and more importantly someone who is kindhearted, caring, and passionate about helping others." Marley explained. "That's definitely you in a nutshell honey." Emma said. "I think so as well." Marley replied. "How are you going to handle your classes at Ohio State though?" Emma asked. "I'll be taking part of them at night, and part of them online. Kitty and I talked about it, and she said this was too good of an opportunity to pass up." Marley said. She then looked at Emma and smiled warmly.

"Thank you so much for this opportunity and for everything you've done for us over the years." She said. "It was my pleasure Marley." Emma replied smiling. "Emma, would you mind do me a small favor?" Marley asked. "What's that?" Emma asked. "Would you sing with me please?" Marley asked. "I'd love to." Emma said. With that, Emma and Marley began to sing:

(Bold is Emma, Italics is Marley, Underlined text is them singing together):

This one's for all you girls about thirteen
High school can be so rough, can be so mean
Hold onto, on to your innocence
Stand your ground when everyone's giving in

This one's for the girls

This is for all you girls about twenty-five
In a little apartment, just trying to get by
Living on, on dreams and spaghetti-o's
Wondering where your life is gonna go

This one's for the girls
Who've ever had a broken heart
Who've wished upon a shooting star
You're beautiful the way you are
This one's for the girls
Who love without holding back
Who dream with everything they have
All around the world
This one's for the girls

This is for all you girls about forty-two
Tossing pennies into the Fountain of Youth
Every laugh, laugh line on your face
Made you who you are today

This one's for the girls
Who've ever had a broken heart
Who've wished upon a shooting star
You're beautiful the way you are
This one's for the girls
Who love without holding back
Who dream with everything they have
All around the world
This one's for the girls

Yeah, we're all the same inside (same inside)
From 1 to 99

This one's for the girls
Who've ever had a broken heart
Who've wished upon a shooting star
You're beautiful the way you are
This one's for the girls
Who love without holding back
Who dream with everything they have
All around the world
This one's for the girls

Yeah, this one's for the girls!!!

"Thank you so much Emma" Marley said as the two embraced each other. "My pleasure Marley, and all the best to you." Emma replied. "You too." Marley said.

So Marley has accepted her upcoming role as the new guidance counselor. She also will have Will act as her godfather and give her away in her upcoming wedding with Kitty. Speaking of Kitty, we catch up with her and Sue in the next chapter.

The song sung in this chapter by Emma and Marley is "This One's For the Girls by Martina McBride.
