The Witchers lead the three to a library.

In the library is an older Witcher, he must be older than the keep itself if Simons calculations are correct and he doesn't look up from his book once the six enter the library.

"You bring strays" The Witcher says and Tatiana's jaw twitches. Lambert speaks up,

"Eskel brought them"

"Their house burnt down and they have nowhere to go Vesemir" Eskel explains, "I wasn't about to let them freeze to death"

The Witcher, apparently named Vesemir, stands and looks at the three humans. Raising an eyebrow before looking at Eskel,

"Your heart will be your downfall Eskel...but they may stay"

Eskel's lip twitches as though he wants to smile.

"But" Vesemir continues, "each of you will watch one of them, I'll let you sort amongst yourselves who watches who...what're your names?"

"Simon...this is Max and Tatiana" Simon says, gesturing to himself and then each of his friends. Vesemir nods,

"I'm Vesemir, my sons can show you where to stay...and get you some clothes that are not frozen"

He waves a hand as if to dismiss them, the three younger Witchers leave and the humans follow.

"I'm not watching anyone" Lambert grunts and Geralt rolls his eyes,

"Stop being so defiant for once, it's just for winter"

"I'll watch the woman then" Lambert grumbles and Tatiana huffs,

"I do not need to be watched like I am a child" She says

"It's just to ensure you cause no trouble, I'm sure that it'll be for less than the whole winter"

Tatiana wrinkles her nose but nods, Eskel looks at Simon,

"I could watch you"

"...If you'd like" Simon squeaks and Eskel nods. Max looks at Geralt,

"Guess that leaves you and me"

"Cause you'll be such a troublemaker" Geralt deadpans and Max gives him a grin,

"I could be"

Geralt raises an eyebrow but doesn't say anything more. Instead he gestures for Max to follow him and walks off. Eskel and Lambert walking with Simon and Tatiana in tow.
