• Jeonghan's point of view •

(The day of the mission)

I was equipping myself with the gears that I would need, to follow on the mission Roxanne had just left on.

Then, I recalled back to when I had a talk with her father just a few minutes ago.

"You need to go after her. You and your brothers. She can't handle this alone."

The tight and clipped tone to his voice didn't assure me well while he had his eyes closed and a hand massaging his forehead.

"I need you to save my daughter before it's too late Jeonghan."

I scrunched my eyebrows at the way he was staring at me, with trust and loyalty.

"Why sir? She is your top assassin."

He sighed before bowing his head and shaking it.

"She is also still a woman with a heart son."

With that he looked up with sad eyes as I dreaded what he was about to say next.

"When it comes down to it, she can never pull herself through, to kill her first love."

That gutted me as if I was shot in the chest and I stopped breathing.

Her first love?

"I'm afraid he would destroy her Jeonghan. Please, save my daughter. Before it's too late."

The desperation and worry in his tone had me firmly nodding before leaving his room and calling out my brothers to prepare.

But before I left the room, his last words hit me.

"Save yourself from the pain too son. It'll do the both of you some good. I trust my daughter with you."

I didn't turn back as I froze in spot, knowing exactly well what he was implying.

He trusted me with his daughter's heart, and I don't plan on disappointing him.

I had one of their professionals to give me a rundown on the Red Mafia and the association of it with Roxanne's first love.

I listened to everything that was told to me and my brothers, on the way to the destination, as we were driving 4 cars, by me, Woozi, Seokmin and Seungkwan.

In the car with me were Seungcheol and Jisoo and they were both listening attentively on what to expect of the enemy.

When they started explaining about how the leader Alex, betrayed Roxanne by being her boyfriend just to get the power to start his own gang, that had me furious.

He took advantage of her.

Knowing that Roxanne really loved him and that he was her first everything, had me gripping my steering wheel tighter and accelerating at a dangerous speed.

We arrived there just in time and everything was going smoothly until I saw that bastard planting his lips on her.

From there, all I saw was red.

I ripped him away from her and shot him at his hand even though I was staring at Roxanne furiously after she stated that he was "hers to handle".

I fully planned on letting her "handle" this herself, but I had to shoot him more for laying his hands on what was mine.
