Chapter 6: the Paladins learn about the Hunter

A/n: hello my fellow readers here is the next chapter for this story sorry for not updating it in so long, but here it is. let the chapter begin.

3rd pov

in the castle of the Lions the Paladins with Allura and Coran are looking at a hologram that marked the places where they encountered Lotor and his Generals.

Pidge: he fought us here, his Generals were here and he stole the comet here.

Lacy: so Lotor could be anywhere.

Shiro: we'll never be able to find him unless we figure out his plan and why Y/n is with him.

Allura: so this Y/n person he's a friend of yours Shiro?

Shiro: yeah he was with us on the Kerberos mission when we were captured, but I didn't see him in any cells or the arenas.

Coran: well can you show us what he looks like other than the armor?

Shiro nodded and pulls out a holographic image of him Pidge's brother and father with Y/n without his helmet and hood on revealing his h/c hair and e/c eyes along with f/c marks on his face like Coran and Allura's marks.

Shiro: originally he wasn't in the mission, but we got him to change his mind with one thing.

Honk: and what's that?

Shiro: *smiles* he lost a bet to me.

Allura: *looks at the marks on Y/n's face* Shiro. those marks on Y/n's face they almost look like Altean marking like mine and Coran's.

Shiro: he was born with them they might be birth marks. humans get them on certain parts of their bodies. but we're totally missing the big picture.

Pidge: how about this question? why was Voltron made out of the same material as that comet? what's so special about it?

Allura: my father discovered another comet like that before I was born.

Coran: your father....and Zarkon.

Honk: this is back when Zarkon was the Black Lion's paladin?

Coran: before that. before Alfor built the lions.

Shiro: I know this is painful to talk about, but if we're going to stop Lotor, it's time we heard the rest of the story.

-timeskip after the story of the discovery of the comet and building the lions-

after Coran told the Paladins the story and how Zarkon betrayed all of Altea and Allura's father along with the destruction of Altea.

Pidge: so that is Lotor's plan. to cross into other universes and get the purest quintessence possilbe.

Kat: no matter what we'll stop him. for Y/n all we know is that he doesn't know about Lotor's plan.

Allura: that is what we're unsure of, but this Y/n does sound like a trust worthy person.

Shiro: you'll like him for his playful personality.

Y/n's pov

ever since the little fight with the Paladins we've been busy with Lotor's plan which is taking us months which we've managed to make a similar ship that of the Lions. right now I'm standing with Lotor observing one of the ships that is already made.

Axca: Prince Lotor, High Priestess Haggar requires your presence.

Lotor: understood.

he then motions me to come with and to use me invincibility to cloak myself so that I'm hidden from Haggar. since I'm working with Lotor and that Haggar would most likely be suspicious of me which I nod and listen in on their conversation.

Haggar: {Lotor, while you distance yourself from central command, Rebel forces have taken entire star systems from our hands.}

Lotor: you think clutching on to worthless outposts strengthens our empire?

Haggar: {your father knew those outposts would one day become strongholds.}

Lotor: my father is on his deathbed and I'm in control.

Haggar: {you say you rule, yet you stay hidden. an emperor must be seen. his absence diminishes his power.}

Lotor: I don't have to explain myself to you. now do not bother me again.

once they finished the transmission cuts allowing me to uncloak myself sometimes when I look at Haggar I feel like she is scanning the room.

Y/n: I got to be honest she kinda gives me the creeps.

Lotor: you wouldn't be the first person to say that, but I get what your feeling.

Zera: that and sometimes the way she looks around the room almost like she is looking for Y/n and I

Axca: yeah she does seem to be doing that.

Lotor: which means you we got to be vigilant especially you Y/n and Zera. we wouldn't want you two to be caught since they think Y/n is a half Galra with unique armor.

Y/n: let's just hope that stays that way. don't want anymore complications.

Lotor: *smiles* two minds think a like *stands up* let's get back to work.

we all nod to him and got back to working on what Lotor has planed. but sometime I wonder what he is thinking when it comes to his plan, but I guess I'll have to wait and see.

3rd pov

after Pidge and Matt got back to the Paladins after she found her missing brother. which Shiro is glad to see a familiar face and that he was doing well, but one thing was on his mind when he looked around to not see one person.

Matt: hey where's Y/n? still haven't found him?

Shiro: well...that's the thing we had found him, but it's more complicated that.

Matt: like what? how complicated can it be?

A/n: at this point Kat is with the blade of Marmora.

Pidge: well he's with the Galra's current leader Prince Lotor.

Matt: what?! how and why is he with him?

Shiro: that's is what we don't know yet. but the way he seemed when Kat first saw him with Lotor's Generals he seemed to be working with them. for how long it was probably started when we were first captured.

Matt: could be. since me, dad and you fell unconscious Y/n must of been still conscious during that time.

Shiro: most likely. plus he must of given the Galra quite a fight.

Matt: sounds like him alright.

Lacy: but that is not the weird part. he had some kind of staff or pole arm with lightning around him!

Matt: say what now?
