Hello! This is my first story, and it might not be the greatest. But I hope you like it anyways!
Wave (a Blue Tribe hen) POV
Wave was quite excited today, because, guess what? She was going to have her first egg! Her partner, Ocean, didn't have the best memory, so she would probably have to remind him for the 20th time this week.
She picked up her phone (which had a lovely photo of her and Ocean on the back of it) and dialed him.
"Ocean, have you remembered that I'm going to give birth today?"
"Oh, that's today?"
"Did you forget again?"
"No! Of course not! Now, I have to get going. Bye!', and just like that, Ocean hung up.
Wave was at her sister's house, who was the best doctor in the Blue tribe. Her sister said that the egg would come at around lunchtime, according to the facts(her sister loved facts).
Wave checked her phone. It was 11:24. Only thirty some more minutes!
Fifteen minutes later, she heard the sound of a car coming up the driveway. That must be Ocean, Wave thought.
A minute later the doorbell ringed. Beach(Wave's sister) rushed to open the door.
Click! Wave heard Beach and Ocean talking, and finally Ocean came into her room. "So, when are you going to have the egg? Are you okay? Is the egg going to be a boy or girl?", Ocean said pelting her with questions.
"I'm going to have the egg around lunchtime, yes, I'm okay, and I don't know whether it's going to be a girl or a boy.", Wave replied, rolling her eyes at the amount of questions Ocean pelted her with. Just then, Wave felt a weird sensation at her, well, you know where, and said :
" Ummm.....Beach? My stomach feels a little weird...."
" AAUUUGH!!! SAY WHAT?!?!? THIS IS CRAZY!!"
" Calm down, Ocean! It's perfectly normal for pregnant hens to experience some stomach sensations when about to deliver birth to an egg."
Then Beach checked her computer. She gulped.
"Ummm....not to alarm anyone, but the computer is sending me weird signals that even I don't understand, again, not to alarm anyone."
Suddenly, Wave felt very worried, and her head filled with 'what ifs'.
"Beach, will everything be okay?", Ocean asked, fluttering his wings nervously, a habit of his for when he got nervous.
Then, suddenly, Wave let out a weird sound.
"Oh! I think the egg's coming.", Beach said, sounding calm, with only a hint of worry in her voice.
Wave's stomach now felt like she had the worst stomachache in the history of hens. Some of her friends, who had already given birth once, didn't say that the feeling of giving birth would be so uncomfortable...
"Okay, Wave, one last push, and the egg will come out," Beach said, checking her computer again.
Wave took a deep breath in and..
POP!
The egg came out!
Yes! The egg is finally out!
Wave raised her head to look at the egg she had just laid, and her heart almost stopped.
Why..is the egg rainbow?
