    Rainbow's POV

Six year old Rainbow laid on the couch, shoving her head into a pillow to block the noise.

Her parents were fighting. Again. For, like, the 14th time this week.

"You don't even care about our chick!", shouted Wave.

"Who said that? I do to care about Rainbow!", shouted Ocean.

"Well then, who does all the housework and cooking? And you don't do anything besides sitting there and playing World of Warcraft!"

"I do more than that! Don't forget that I do some business online! And by the way, World of Warcraft..um..prepares me for war, if the war ever comes here!"

Rainbow didn't stick around to hear more of the argument. She went to the only place that was quiet: their little garden close to the sea.

Rainbow enjoyed being around nature. At least they were quiet.

While she was walking over to the tomato plants, she felt a familiar tug in the back of her mind.

She barely had time to think, Oh, great, before she was pulled into the future.

Rainbow was standing... at her own home? That's odd, she thought. Then she saw a friendly-looking chick standing in their garden, checking out the herbs.

Then she saw herself step into the vision. The other Rainbow came out with two glasses of lemonade. She offered it to the other hen, and as the future Rainbow offered the drink, the present Rainbow noticed that the other chick's beak wasn't blue....it was green, and the future faded away.

In the present, Rainbow gasped and sat down. A thousand questions were going through her head at the same time: Who was that chick? Why was I being so nice to it? Is it my friend? Will it become my best friend? And....why was it's beak green?

It's green beak was the only thing she was worried about. Because...well, the Green Tribe was their enemy. Well, fine. The Red Tribe was their main enemy, then the Yellow Tribe, and then the Green Tribe. But still.

She wondered how she became with that chick from the Green Tribe, and when. It was getting a bit lonely, with her parents fighting all day, and no one to talk to. She thought that a friend could be nice, but would anyone ever allow a chick from the Green Tribe to become friends with her? They were the enemy after all.

Lost in her thoughts, she headed back inside to her room, and as she was about to ask for a snack, she heard shouting, lots of shouting. Then she realized her very first vision was coming true.

  After the court meeting......

"Come on honey, let's get away from that horrible, lazy, stinky father of yours", Wave said, casting a disgusted look at Rainbow's father. The court meeting was over, and Wave had taken custody of her child (Rainbow). Rainbow thought that all this court business was boring, but apparently her mom thought that it was extremely important.

On the walk back home, all Wave could talk about was the court meeting, and how horrible her father was, and how he never did anything besides sit there. She said that he had almost forgot their anniversary tomorrow. Rainbow really wanted to just have some peace and quiet, without all the stressful shouting and yelling.

Then, her mom gave the most surprising news of all:

She was going to be a big sister.
