The following morning Yeonjun wasn't happy when he saw Taehyung getting dressed. He assumed Taehyung was going to leave him, so he did the only thing he knew to do. Cry.
"Yeonnie, it's ok. I'm not leaving you," The older male was trying to calm down the sobbing toddler, but nothing was helping.
"H-Hyun! N-No leave Yeonjun!" Taehyung was shocked when he heard Yeonjun talk. Maybe it was just taking time for him to adjust.
"I'd never leave you Yeonnie. I love you too much for that," Taehyung kissed his cheek before continuing.
"And I'm going with you, Appa, and Dad today!"
Yeonjun's face lit up at his Hyung's words and he made grabby hands at Taehyung. He picked up the little boy and quickly dressed him before walking downstairs. Seokjin was making breakfast, Namjoon was reading something on his phone, Jungkook was practicing his taekwondo moves in the living room, and Jimin and Haejoon were casually flirting in the corner. Taehyung rolled his eyes and shook his head. He was happy for Jimin, but he wasn't happy about his PDA with Haejoon.
"Appa, what time are we leaving?" Taehyung asked as he sat down at the table next to his father. Namjoon looked up from his phone and smiled.
"About 9, so we have a little bit of time before we have to go," Namjoon displayed his dimples and ruffled Yeonjun's brown locks. The little boy giggled and reached out for Namjoon.
"Mm!" He opened and closed his fists while pouting at Namjoon, who was too busy cooing over him to take him from Taehyung.
"A-Appa!" Yeonjun pouted more and put his arms down. He thought Namjoon didn't want to hold him so he turned away from him and cuddled into Taehyung. Namjoon frowned and gently took him from the teen's lap, careful not to scare him.
"Yeonnie, I'm sorry. I was just occupied by your cuteness," Namjoon booped Yeonjun's nose, making the once teary-eyed boy smile widely and giggled before hugging Namjoon.
"Jimin, Jungkook, Haejoon, finish eating quickly and I'll drop you guys off at school, ok?" Seokjin said as he sat down to eat. Everyone was eating peacefully until Jungkook demanded more banana milk, but refused to get up.
"Kim Jungkook! If you don't want to get up, then you aren't going to get any banana milk!" Seokjin shook his head and got up.
"Are you getting me milk?!" Jungkook asked.
"No, I'm doing the dishes," Seokjin smirked and started washing his plate. Jungkook frowned while his Hyungs laughed. Yeonjun didn't understand 7so he just laughed along.
"Ok, everyone hurry up. Joon, I'll meet you there after I drop them off," Seokjin kisses his husband before grabbing his keys and pushing the three boys out the door. Namjoon chuckled and stood.
"You two ready to go?"
"Yeah, let me get Yeonjun's bag first!" Taehyung got up and ran upstairs to grab Yeonjun's bag.
He was bringing it because you never know what you'll need with a toddler. It had a few toys Namjoon bought along with an outfit and snacks, but when Yeonjun heard "get Yeonjun's bag" he thought back to when Hyerin shiver all his belongings into a bag, the day he first met Taehyung and Jimin. Similar words came out of her mouth as she grabbed Yeonjun and left her home.
On instinct, Yeonjun burst into tears and clung to Namjoon. His little fists turned white from how hard he was clutching onto Namjoon's shirt. Namjoon frowned and rubbed his back while rocking him. Nothing seemed to subside his cries, even when Taehyung tried to take him after he came back downstairs.
"Yeonnie, what's wrong?" Namjoon whispered to him once he quieted down a little. The toddler sniffled and rubbed his teary eyes.
"N-No l-leave Yeonj-jun! P-Pweas-e!!" He looked hot at Namjoon before burying his face in his neck.
"Yeonnie, we'd never leave you, ok Bub? We love you so much! Why do you think we'd leave you?" Namjoon comforted him more, waiting patiently for Yeonjun to answer.
"T-TaeTae said g-get Yeonjun's b-bag and that's w-what M-Mommy said when I-I met Hyun!" Yeonjun managed to say through sniffles.
"Thank you for telling me, Baby, but we'd never give you away," Namjoon said, kissing his head. He was happy Yeonjun was talking more, even though his speech could be improved. He couldn't blame Yeonjun for that tho. He did like with Hyerin for the first three and a half years of his life.
"Bub, I was only getting your bag cause I was bringing toys and snacks! Looks!" Taehyung unzipped the little baby blue backpack and Yeonjun peeked out at the bag.
"Bear!" He smiled widely, forgetting about his tears and reached out for the little light brown teddy bear in the backpack. Taehyung handed it to him and he immediately cuddled it. He hummed in satisfaction at how soft it was. He closed his eyes and relaxed in Namjoon's embrace.
"Ok, we need to get going now," Namjoon grabbed his keys and went out to the car. He buckled Yeonjun in the car seat he bought yesterday and Taehyung slid in the back seat beside him. He didn't want to leave Yeonjun alone in the back seat in case he got upset.
"Alright, let's go cause if we don't leave now we'll be late," Namjoon started the car and turned on the radio. Yeonjun smiles and hummed along to every song, even if he didn't know it. Namjoon looked in the rearview mirror and smiled fondly at the toddler. It was gonna be fun having another kid around.
