(longer chapter because I love you)
S I M O N E
Dad wasn't too entirely happy about my leaving. The result is being grounded. However, I still haven't had a conversation with him. The moment I got home, I went right for my room and locked my door. Now, the morning after, he left for work early. Which meant I'd have to take the bus.
Sighing, I thought for a moment before looking towards the woods. I needed a ride to school. If I didn't get a ride I'd have to deal with the annoying freshmen talking about me.
Nick was at work, and Ethan, Avalon, and Nakota are most likely at school. That's pretty much all the people I know.
Then there's Kai.
Would it hurt to give in one time? Surely Kai wouldn't mind.
Making up my mind, I walked in the direction of Kai's house, praying he was home.

"I am going to make fun of the car. Calling it a piece of shit is putting it lightly." I say as he slams the trunk.
Simone, are you fucking staring?
"Is this where you put your victims?" I ask, gesturing to the trunk.
"You think I'm going to get blood stains on my real leather five class seats?" He is asking like I'm an idiot that doesn't know what she's doing.
"Kai, your piece of shit car is stained with God knows what and it's clearly pleather." I look into the shaded windows.
"Still." He points his finger at me before getting into the front seat.
"I don't get it. You could steal any car and yet you pick this-"
"Piece of shit? Yeah, I've heard enough." He rolls his eyes and grabs a stick of gum out of his pocket and unwrapping it, sticking it into his mouth. "Do you want to drive this piece of shit? Didn't think so."
"I can't anyway." I say quietly as I get into the passenger seat.
"You can't drive?"
"No. I can't skydive." I say sarcastically. Sighing in frustration, I pull the rather broken seatbelt on.
Kai chuckles softly. "My goodness, kitten, you're adorable. Don't worry, I don't have a license either." And suddenly I'd rather be the one driving instead of Kai.
He continues obnoxiously chewing on his gum and looks over at me. "Are you going to drive, or are you going to kill me? You give me mixed feelings."
"Oh. Sorry, thought we were having a moment." Kai shifts gears and gives me a sarcastic smile.
"Hardly." I whisper and watch as Kai makes his way through the woods in Darkwood, leaving the white house behind us. "Don't you have to pay property taxes?"
"Property taxes? No. What the fuck are those?"
"That explains a lot." I mutter and look out the window.
"If they can't see my house, they don't know I'm here." He adds, but I'm struggling to figure out what he means.
"But..." I'm just about to turn around and look at his very visible house, but he puts his arm out and looks at me.
"Anywho-" he speeds up slightly and turns down out onto the road. It scares me how close we live to each other.
"Do you stalk me?" I ask, but it's a rather serious question.
