Chapter 8 Part 1

"HEY BITCH. Have you already tried talking to Lee? He must have felt very bad after what you've said yesterday. He deserved an apology, you know." sabi ni Ayara kay Lexi habang nilalapag nila ang kanilang gamit. Since wala naman silang pasok ay pumunta sila sa training hall ng Morte, mas maigi nang magtraining sila kaysa tumunganga sa dorm nilang bulok.

Umupo si Lexi. Yeah, I must have felt really bad after what their family have done to mine. I deserved an apology-no, they deserved to die, you know. Gustuhin man niyang sabihin iyon kay Ayara ay nanahimik na lamang siya at uminom ng tubig.

Umupo si Ayara sa katabi ng dalaga. "Look, I knew how angry you were to his family, we all were. But could you just control your anger a little bit? The more you show how you despise them, the more they'll run away from you." seryosong ani Ayara dahilan para matawa si Lexi.

"You seem more dedicated than I do, huh? Laveret?" nakangising sagot ni Lexi dahilan para matawa ang kaibigan nito. "Fine, I'll take that from the one who can control her anger."

Sumimangot si Ayara. "Hoy! Kaya ko na kayang kontrolin ang galit ko!"

"Yeah? Then what do you call what happened in the mall last week?" pangaasar ni Lexi kay Ayara. Palibhasa ay sinamahan niya si Ayara sa mall para bumili kuno ng sapatos, pero yung gusto nitong sapatos ay out of stock na kaya naman nagalit ito at gumawa ng skandal sa gitna ng mall. "You were like a mini Karen there. Pfft."

"Fuck you bitch, could we just forget what happened? That Gucci shoes don't deserve me anyways. I'm too gorgeous for them." nakangising sagot ni Ayara, natatawang napailing na lamang si Lexi.

"How about a sword match?" alok ni Lexi sa kaibigan.

Humakay pa kunwari si Ayara at tiningnan ang kaniyang mga kuko bago harapin si Lexi. "You knew you're no match for me on swaying and swinging swords. I invented them." mayabang na anito.

Ngumisi pabalik si Lexi. "We'll see about that." sabi niya dahilan para ngumisi si Ayara at sabay silang tumayo para kumuha ng gagamiting sandata.

Parehas nilang kinuha ang Rapier sword. Rapier, or Espada ropera is a type of sword with a slender and sharply-pointed two-edged blade that was popular in Western Europe, both for civilian use and as a military side arm throughout the 16th and 17th centuries. It was Ayara's favorite sword.

Nakuha ni Ayara ang pagkahilig niya sa mga espada sa kaniyang lolo. Bata pa lamang siya ay tinuruan na siya ng kaniyang lolo magfencing, basic sword fighting techniques, hanggang sa mamaster na ito lahat ni Ayara.

Katana was Lexi's favorite sword. Katana is a Japanese sword characterized by a curved, single-edged blade with a circular or squared guard and long grip to accommodate two hands. Aside from it being a samurai and a Japanese sword, Lexi would say Katanas are good for beginners. Rapier ang pinili niya dahil gusto niyang matuto ng bago.

"The one who loses grips of their sword, loses." ani Ayara, nakangisi namang tumango si Lexi.

"Bring it on."

They both stepped back, get ready and ran to each other. Their sword's false edge met each other. Ayara charged at Lexi with the hook blade upheld, going to her foreswing and following it with a backswing. Lexi dodged the first and met the second with her rapier. The weight of Ayara make Lexi bend, making it hard for her.

Napangisi si Ayara, step back and aim for Lexi's stomach. Before she even got near her, Ayara stopped and smile at Lexi. "This will hurt a little. You'll be fine." she said and left a slash on Lexi's tummy.

Ngumisi si Lexi. "That doesn't hurt at all." sabi niya at tumakbo papalapit sa kaibigan, she was about to aim at Ayara's sword when Ayara dodged, it was her opponent who got a aim on her sword instead.
