Chapter 2 1/2 The Rooms

(continued paragragh from last chapter)

To the left of the halway was a bathroom. It had a toliet, a sink, anf of course a bathtub with a showerhead. On the right is a bedroom with Isla's and Fargo's stuff. Continuing through the hallway is two more rooms. One is Emy's and the others is Gena and Oscar's or mom and dad's room. At the end of the halway was a set of stairs that leads to what looks like a hatch.

      

       " Where is my room," asks Day

       " Go up the stairs and open the hatch." said Dad

       Day walked up the carpet stairs counting how many there were. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. There were six steps. She reached for the handle on the hatch and pushed. The hatch opened easily,  there were two more steps. She stepped into her new room. It was huge. It was also a loft, but it wasn't one were you could see below you it was more of a second story, but small. She had her full size bed already in there with new sheets and comforter. She had a purple are a rug to match her bedspread. She had a desk to do homework. On the right side of the room was another door. She ran to it and opened it. It was a bathroom with just a shower, no bathtub, Day hated baths, a sink, and a toliet. At the left end of the bathroom was a walk-in closet. That all her clothes already in there, and her shoes. She had two new presents. One was is shiny, aqua wrapping paper and the other was in a box. Just a plain carboard box. She opened the box. It was a sewing machine.

       " Oh my gosh, my own seeing machine. Thank you!" Day said excitedly.

       " Open the other one," said Isla

       Day reached for the shiny, aqua wrapping paper and ripped it open. It was a shoe box. Inside were the gray knee high converse with blue laces that she had wanted.

       " Thank you mom," she squealed while giving her mom a hug, "And dad."

       " Your welcome," they said at the same time.

       " Do we get an presents," asked Emy.

       " Yeah," said Isla

       " Present ? " said Fargo

       " Isla, Fargo, go downstairs and into your room. Your presents are on your bed. Isla help Fargo." said their mom.

       " Ok," said Isla holding Fargo's hand and going down the stairs carefully.

       " Emy your presents are in the bathroom. " said Dad

       " Ok," said Emy running down the stairs.

       " I am going to see what they

got," said Day

       " Ahh a new hair dryer and curling iron, thank ypu mom and dad," yelled Emy from downstairs.

       " Okay I know what Emy got, I am going to see what Isla And Fargo got," said Day walking down the stairs with her parents behind her.

      She walked into Isla's and Fargo's room. She used to share a room Isla before they moved. Fargo was always in mom and dads bedroom.

       Isla had her present open and was playing with it. It was a new doll. She had thousands of dolls and she played with every single one of them. This doll was the kind that pooped and peed when you fed it. It gave a shudder up Day's back just thinking about it. Fargo had got a a new good-sized Lego Duplo® box set that you could build a car out of.

       " Sissy," said Fargo pointing at the Lego Duplo® box, "Help."

      " Okay what the magic word," asked Day sitting down next to Fargo.

        " Pease," he said, trying to pronounce it right.

       " Ok," said Day," I'll help."

       She grabbed the cardboard box and ripped the top open. Inside was a plastic back and a booklet of instructions.

       " Do you want to play in the living room so Isla can play in here," asked Day.

       Fargo nodded. Day picked up the box with every thing inside it and grabbed Fargo's hand. She and Fargo went through the dining room, the kittchen, and then the living room. She set the box down and opened the plastic bag. She poured out the legos and gave Fargo the instructions.

       " Stay here I'm going to go see what is for dinner," said Day

       Day found Mom in her bedroom arranging the pillows on her bed. She was obbsessive when it came to pillows.

       " Mom," said Day

       " Yeah," said Mom

       " What are we having for dinner tonight," asked Day.

       " Well we haven't gone shopping for food items yet, so we are probably going to go out to eat... how about Me-en-Eds," she answered.

      " Okay," said Day happily

       She went back to where Fargo was. Fargo had already built the car and was moving it around the rug.

       " Guess what Fargo we are having pizza," said Day excitedly.

       " Pisa," Fargo said putting his little fist in the air.

       " Fargo lets go get some different clothes on you, those ones are dirty," said Day

      And it was true. It looked like Fargo had been rolling in the dirt. She picked up Fargo and took him to his room. She picked a green plaid shirt, tan cargo shorts and green flip flops with straps in the back. She undressed him and put his dirty clothes in the hamper. She changed his diaper and put his outfit on him. She took him to the bathroom where Emy was curling her hair.

       " Well don't you look like a little man," Emy said to Fargo.

       "We're going to Me-en-Eds tonight," said Day opening the drawer and grabbing the hair brush.

       " Cool," said Emy.

       Day started brushing Fargo hair to one side, and then changing it to the other side. She decided to have it parted to the right side.

       " Now go play, but don't get

dirty," said Day

       Fargo nodded and ran off. Day went back to Isla's room.

       " Isla we are going to Me-en-Eds lets get you changed," saif Day looking in Isla's closet, " Do you want to wear a dress or shorts and a          t-shirt."

       " Dress," said Isla confidently.

       Day picked out a yellow sundress and white sandals. Day was about to get Isla dressed when she said...

       " I can do it by myself."

       " Ok," said Day, " but don't be afraid to ask for help."

       Isla unbuttoned her dress and slipped it on. She sat down and put her sandals on and got up. Day buttoned the back for her and took her to the bathroom. This time Emy was doing her make-up.

       " I am," Isla said back.

       Day pulled back Isla's hair into two tight braids and tied a yellow ribbon on the end of each one. Day was proud of her self.

       " You can go play now but dont get dirty," said Day

        This time Day went to her room and got herself ready. She got out a gray ruffled skirt with a sparkly waist. She got a pink shirt out. Then she got out silver sandals. She tucked her shirt into her skirt and out on black sparkly suspenders. She went into her bathroom and pulled her hair into a tight braid. She put on two bracelets one silver, one black on her left wrist. She went into her room and sat on her bed. She put her sandals on her anklet that had little stars on it. She was ready to go.
