a Terribly Written(male reader x shion yorigami) Story

chapter 5.5: dreaming interlude

(Y/n): "where... Am i?" It was hard to make out the landscape but it was some sort of carnival... Nocturne... Thing. There were pink bubbles floating about
And you felt lile you were being watched.

???: "oh good, you're asleep." I don't know about you but i think that might be the person watching you.

(Y/n): "um... Hello? Where am i? wheres Shion? Am i still asleep? you said something about being asleep." Low and behold, a figure in odd clothing appeared before you.

???: " hello there, I am Doremy, ruler of dreams. That's all you really need to know"

(Y/n): so... Logic dictates that im in the dream world, does this happen every night and i just don't remember? Did you pull me out of my dream or something? Does the dream world span all of earth? How do you traverse it? Are ther-" she cut you off.

Doremy: "calm down. I guess i should answer your most important question, you come here every night but your usually in your own dream" you calmed down a bit, it wasn't like you to bombarded a stranger with so many questions but you DID just find out about the existence of an entire dream world.

(Y/n): "ok sorry, but then why am i here and like... Not dreaming?"

Doremy: "so i can congratulate you of course"

(Y/n): "congratulate me? for what?"

Doremy: "congratulate you on your dumb luck, in a span of 4 WEEKS you somehow managed to gain a cult following in the village, suppress a poverty goddess's powers and somehow acquire that shrine maidens protection." She seemed so calm and smug before but now she seemed dumbfounded at her own explanation.

(Y/n): "when put like that... Ya, sounds like dumb luck! Though concerning the hakurei shrine maidens protection... Its more like she lets me live as long as i promote her shrine." Doremy regained her smug composure and gave you a look as though to say 'as if you're complaining~'

Doremy: "well either way, congratulations. I cant say many outsiders have done as much in so little time."

(Y/n): " well thank you, to be fair i don't think many outsiders had absurd amounts of luck on their side." She answered some of your questions about the dream world, temporarily satisfying your endless curiosity

Doremy: "well, this has been fun (y/n) but i think our time is almost up. Say hi to your girlfriend for me~"

(Y/n): "w-wait! I was wondering... Shions a goddess and im a human so theres obviously a drastic difference in life spans. I was wondering if theres a way i could live as long as her, so that we'd never be apart" it had only been 4 weeks but you really did love shion.

Doremy: "aw, Isn't that sweet." Doremy placed her hands on her heart and feigned a blush. "Ill see what i can do. In fact, i think i know just the person! Ill send her your way as soon as i can get in touch with her, i promise."

(Y/n): "cant you just talk to her now? If shes in gensokyo then shes probably asleep, which means shes somewhere here."

Doremy: "thats correct, but its already dawn and your body's beginning to wake up. Its been fun, I'll see you soon~"

You were going to respond but everything went all fuzzy and when it came back into focus you realized you had woken up. You were still holding Shion, and she was still asleep so there wasn't much you could do. Well, not unless you want to try and wake her up, but why would you do that? You laid there enjoying her warmth until she eventually woke up.

Shion: "oh, good morning (y/n)."

(Y/n): "good morning Shion. Did you sleep well?"

Shion: "ya, i had nice dream. One where i didnt need this charm to suppress my power... " You hadnt really thought much about your situation, misfortune still occasionally hit Shion like a brick. The only reasons you weren't in poverty right now was because of the charm you gave her and because you had told the villagers tales of your luck in the outside world, your immunity to misfortune and the urban legends took care of the rest. Your financial situation, while not terrible wasn't exactly ideal either as you were the only thing keeping the Yorigami sisters from getting evicted. Then you remembered Doremy's promise. "How about you, did you have any good dreams?"

(Y/n): "yes, yes i did. One where i got to be with you forever." She blushed at that, then you kissed her, embracing her just a bit longer. Breakfast could wait, this felt good.

Authors note: the next chapter will be out soon, im also working on another story. Shocker i know, man with poor writing skills works on two stories simultaneously. Yep. Im trying not to make the romance to gushy since Shions not usually like that and while this shameless wish fulfillment, it doesn't feel right if the character feels, well, out of character.
