Renee was surprised to find that Gibraltar and Octavio were in fact amazing cooks. She wasn't used to eating around this many people, but it wasn't entirely bad. Just louder, and far more crowded than she was used to. Constant banter, laughing, and occasional lengthy exchanges over a debate of some sort.
Bloodhound and Dr. Caustic were present in the commons, but didn't join the meal or much conversation. She remained silent for the most part, staying beside Natalie, who was seated next to the Doctor. Though he looked like no doctor she'd ever seen... She'd noticed throughout lunch he was glancing at the blonde, as of checking her for something. Was he.. concerned that she'd been hurt?
Renee supposed that if the others had been worried like Anita had, it was likely that he was as well. Perhaps they were close. Either way, she wasn't too sure of him yet. The others were... strange to say the least. But kind. They'd probably be more fun to hang around with if she knew them better.
The man she recognized as Elliot would incite most 'off the wall' conversations, which Pathfinder and Octavio would join in on. She found their most recent banter hilarious. Elliot claimed that if he could make enough copies of his holograms, he could successfully have an entire audience to make Octane biff one of his stunts under pressure.

Octavio defended "What?! I blew off my own legs! A crowd of dodo birds isn't gonna crack the Oct train

Octavio defended "What?! I blew off my own legs! A crowd of dodo birds isn't gonna crack the Oct train." Pathfinder lifted his hand, "I would still enjoy watching. Maybe a little more if Mirages decoys were also doing stunts!"
Wraith smirked at this, while Wattson on the other hand had been laughing at their exchange the entire conversation. Neither of them were sure what to make of it, but it was funny nonetheless.
Maybe that's why she felt so out of place. Natalie just enjoyed the moment without thought of judgement, and Renee just.. sorta watched from the sidelines. 'Might have to take a page from her book I guess. Especially if they're letting me stay here. I don't have to make conversation, but I guess I shouldn't be so unapproachable either..' her mind considered as Dr. Caustic left his seat.
Renee tugged absentmindedly at the scarf around her neck until a tap on her shoulder caught her attention. She lifted her gaze to meet Natalie's when she made it around to her seat, crossing her arms over a now empty table space. "I think they're going to start partying in the bar. They can get a bit noisy drinking." Renee smirked, "This was their quiet?" Natalie laughed, "Oui, I suppose you're right."
"I was going to walk the barrier while the sky is so clear. Some nights there are meteor showers. Interested in coming along?" Natalie asked. Renee paused, but let go of the fold in her scarf, rising from her seat. "Lead the way." She replied. Natalie smiled a bit as she walked around her and started out of the commons and down the main hall.

Revenant's thin frame moved up a shoreline, his figure edged in moon light as he ascended the incline. He followed an electrified barrier half a mile in this direction before stopping at an upper ledge. Looking down, the fence line was 7 feet out and 8 feet down. But the top of the fence rose to 7 feet.
He back-stepped, pausing before lunging forward in two strides. His foot met the ledge before he launched himself off of it and over the top of the fence. There was a hard thud as he rose from his crouch, his back now facing the electrified barrier as he started along one side.
He'd seen a small signal boosting device from a far perch, but it wasn't on the side he could access. It had taken him all day to find a way around it, following the line down.
Steel bolts snapped and wires burst in to sparks as Revenant drove his fist through the signal booster, the metal casing and components mangled. A single section of fencing shut down as he pulled his hand from the debris.
This segment was quickly followed by two more, then five more, then another seven. Eventually a full line of twenty segments were shut down.
A breeze rippled across the grass as Revenant turned down the hill, walking until his figure was concealed by a ledge. He stepped back so his shoulders met the stone, hidden to even the sharpest eye. Numbers and information rolled down his peripherals, lining his field of view with segments and focus sensitive readers.
They were nothing like a human gaze. The void in his pupils was maddening, impossible to tell what he was feeling or thinking. Or if he was doing either at all.
